Finally found a Luosifen place in Flushing that actually has real stone snails!
Stumbled upon Snail Du inside the 99 Ranch Food Court, and it’s definitely a hidden gem for noodle lovers. We tried three different items and everything was solid:
· Overlord Luosifen: This is the real deal. It comes with a huge slab of pork belly and the bowl is loaded with fresh stone snails at the bottom. The snails are super fresh and come right out of the shell. The broth is rich, flavorful, and you can choose your spice level.
· Three Delicacy Luosifen: A great option if you prefer something lighter. The broth is a bit cleaner than the original, but it still has all the essential fixings like sour bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, and tofu skin. Perfect for first-timers.
· "No-Noodle" Snail Veggie Bowl: If you’re craving the flavor but don’t want the carbs, this is the way to go. It’s loaded with veggies but still has that same rich broth. Low-carb and satisfying.
We also tried the fried egg for the first time here—it was crispy like a tofu skin roll and soaked up all the broth perfectly.
