Im a pretty big gatekeeper but seeing the last business here closed was disappointing so im leaving a review to help out. I have had the daifuku in this area and not impressed until i walked past this shop deciding to give it a try. i instantly fell in love with all the flavors , the matcha being my favorite. to my dismay, when i come later during the day im usually met with news that they sold out so i recommend coming here early. i have tried the other cakes here and they were fine too but the daifuku keeps me coming back. staff is very friendly and also accept debit / credit card (which can be uncommon on 8th ave).

This soy milk tart was absolutely lovely. The filling was incredibly silky and smooth—so light and fluffy. It had that gentle soy fragrance that isn’t overpowering, just soft and comforting, with the perfect level of sweetness. I genuinely enjoyed every bite.

Absolutely amazing bakery! There are so many desserts to choose from, and everything tastes incredible especially the cakes. Super fresh and very affordable for NYC. A must visit spot that I’ll definitely be coming back to!
I ordered 10 mini 4 inch cakes from Qing Mu Bakery on 8th Ave for my birthday, and they turned out amazing! Each one was only $21, super affordable for NYC, and they were honestly so delicious.
