1982 Coffee Roasters

Christmas Eve-and was pleasantly surprised by their food & taste quality! I got the salmon salad and a sweet roll with some sort of crème filling. It was all very delicious and definitely reminded me of my family’s cooking so I would give A++ for that alone!

I was working in the area and decided to get coffee here because I was born in 1982😆 The guy behind the counter was so lovely! His energy and kindness at 7am set the tone for the rest of my day, and the coffee was absolutely delicious. I’m so glad I found this place, and I’ll be back asap!

Love coming here for my cinnamon cheese danish and coffee. Very welcoming place. Highly recommend.

Pushy, grumpy, rude person working the register. Our first time in. Restaurant not a coffee shop, skip this one for bad food, bad coffee and bad atmosphere. Quick notes: - Kiosks require person checking out to input a table number, he acted like I should have known where they were (a pile of metal numbers by the main POS, not listed on the tables), I apologized and sat down. I brought the number up to get our order (I was then scolded for not leaving the number on the table) We then got settled and popped open our laptops, I walked up and asked for a WiFi password, he scowled and said “this is a restaurant not a coffee shop.” I think he was the owner as he complained about how much he pays to operate a business (obviously my fault). Mind you there is a coffee roaster in the back, the name of the business etc all point to a Coffee Shop vibe. The pourover I watched being made was left to get cold halfway completed with a dry bed while the barista made blender drinks. After all this we just tried to hand the drinks back and leave, we both didn’t feel welcome. He refunded us but was extremely rude to both of us, made fun of the name I input (my name) tried to argue with us about paying the bills etc. We were not welcome or wanted there. No music playing, poor service. I think an easy polite sign against laptops or on the window would be well received and avoid this entirely. “No Wifi Cafe! We kindly ask that our customers refrain from using laptops to maintain a restaurant atmosphere.”

Went in to get coffee, and got a straight up glass of milk. We could not drink the coffees we bought and had to discard them eventually. We dint try the food which looked good as everyone in the cafe was eating but almost noone had coffee on the table. The coffee is not recommended. Also, it is more expensive compared to almost any other coffee shop in NYC including the premium brands like Blue Bottle. A medium hot latte with whole milk and a small hot latte with Almond milk was $13 total without tip. Service on the other hand is friendly and prompt.
