What a great little place. We reserved a table for 3 on Thanksgiving Day (2025). I traveled to South Korea and this experience was as close to authenticity as I've experienced in the city. The Owner is very friendly. We had the Seoul Slider, Corn Cheese and Soy Garlic Wings for the appetizers. For the entree, we had the half Ginseng Chicken Soup, Hot Stone Bulgogi Bibimbap and Galbi Meat Entree. For drinks we had the Pineapple Punch, Perfect Pear and So-Maek. I highly recommend this establishment. Go and give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.
I'm Korean American and have lived right around the corner for almost 15 years and couldn't be more hype about this spot!! Food is legit legit. Kevin the owner is great. Got my go-to dish I try at every Korean spot: Army Stew. It was great! Kevin even gave my son a yuzu lemonade on the house! So glad to have a legit Korean spot in my 'hood. Will def be back ... A lot!
I’m Korean myself, was so excited to try Korean food in my hood and today was the first time I’m trying this neighborhood authentic Korean restaurant. I usually go to k town for Korean food but now I don’t need to go all the way down there anymore due to this restaurant. I ordered bulgogi bibimbab in a hot pot with home made gochoojang sauce and it was so delicious. Bibimbab has many options as well including vegetation version. A lot of sliced beef which was well seasoned with well cooked vegetable makes everything tastes better. I also ordered kimchi pancake and it was so tasty. Several Banchan(Korean side dishes) were coming along with main dish and delicious as well. The restaurant is so cute and Korean music at the background makes me feel I’m home 🥰. Service was great and staff is welcoming new customers. I recommend this restaurant 10/10. Menu includes a variety of Korean food. If you are craving for Korean food at Hell’s Kitchen, this place is the one for you. I’ll come back again soon 🥰🥰
Highly recommend! Limited space, But Delicious food and great service. They have the Hot stone Bulgogi Bimbimbap which I ordered. Tender beef with rice and fresh veggies. I also got the Japchae with beef. What I loved is that both dishes came with side dishes. Some included kimchi, pickled radish, potatoes etc. Tried both beers that they offer which is Terra and Cass. Both were tap. There is a description on the beers on the menu. I preferred Cass since it was smoother. Terra had a bit of a bitter after note. Waiter was great and kind. Go try it out
My friends and I were in the area and wanted to go to a pocha spot, but all of the ones we typically go to are in K-town, so it was such a pleasant surprise to find out about 88 Pocha! This new Korean spot in Hell's kitchen is open until 11pm and offers a variety of Korean bites, soups, noodles, and a nice soju-based cocktail menu. Their interior is a bit small, with only 4-5 tables, but it's cozy and inviting. Prices are reasonable here and portions are good. Although service was nice, our food took a while to come out. We got their soy garlic chicken, seafood pancake, and fried dumplings. Overall, we thought that the food was all okay. Although I enjoyed the chicken wings, my friends thought that the sauce wasn't very strong/lacked flavor and that the chicken was a bit too fatty. The seafood pancake was solid with lots of seafood in it and a sweet batter, but the sauce was a bit too salty for me (and it's the same sauce as the dumplings). And, I'm not the biggest fan of fried dumplings, but my friends enjoyed the ones here. Overall, I would be open to coming back and trying some of their entree items but otherwise, I think there are better pocha/Korean bar vibes.
