Love this place!!! The staff are amazing. Most of all people LUIS IS THE MAN!! i live in bayside but it’s always worth the trip, Luis is always awesome, respectful and sincere and he always blesses me with an awesome cut! If you ever come by ask for Luis! The man takes his time and makes sure every angle looks great!!! High recommend it!🤙

1/10 SERVICE. ARTURO IS NOT A GOOD BARBER HE MESSED EVERYTHING UP WHEN IT WAS MOST IMPORTANT. I ASKED FOR A LOW SKIN FADE AND A LINE UP AND LOOK WHAT HE DID. THIS BARBERSHOP IS NO GOOD ANY BARBER WHO COULD LET YOU WALK OUT LIKE THIS IS NO GOOD. I GET PROPER HAIRCUT ONLY REASON I HAD TO SEE ARTURO IS BECAUSE I AM ON HOUSE AND I WISH I NEVER DID SEE HIM. I SAW HIM BEFORE THIS AND EVERYTIME I DID ITS A ALWAYS A PROBLEM, EITHER MY CORNERS LOOK FUNNY( WHICH HE THINK HE CAN FIX WITH TEMPORARY SPRAY) OR THE BACK OF MY HEAD GOT HAIRS STICKING OUT. IT WAS MINOR ISSUES/RED FLAGS THAT I SHOULDA SEEN TO PREVENT FUTURE BIGGER ISSUES. DONT EVEN GET MY STARTED ON HIS COWORKER THE GUY WEARING THE CAP ONE TIME ALL THE BARBERS WERE BUSY AND HE TELLS ME HE CAN CUT ME HE SAYS HE NEEDS TO USE BATHROOM REALLY QUICK. DUDE WAS IN BATHROOM FOR 24 MIN WHEN HE WALKED OUT I WAS SO DISGUSTED I WALKED OUT YHR SHOP, OVERALL IFYOU WANT UR HAIR MESSED UP GO TO A PLUS BARBER SHOP. OTHER STAY AS FAR AWKAYS AS POSSIBLE.ATTACHED IS WHAT ARTURO DID TO ME. I GAVE ARTURO ONE GOOD REVIEW BEFORE ONLY BECAUSE HE BEGGED ME FOR IT. I wish I could remove it

Disappointed with my haircut experience, but the shop itself had a good vibe. I visited A Cutz Barbershop a few days ago and was seated with Arturo. The shop itself made a nice first impression — it looked clean, organized, and the atmosphere felt friendly and welcoming. Arturo even offered me a bottle of water before starting the cut, which I appreciated because that small gesture goes a long way. When I first walked in, though, Arturo was playing video games with another person in the shop. After beating the guy, he told him he needed more practice — but honestly, I think Arturo is the one who needs to step away from the video games and practice more on perfecting his barber skills. Having games in the shop might keep things fun, but when customers leave with uneven cuts, that’s a sign the focus isn’t where it needs to be. The management really needs to make sure their barbers are focused and properly trained, especially during business hours. Unfortunately, once the haircut began, things went downhill. I’ve gotten fades many times in the Bronx and Brooklyn, but I’ve never seen a technique like the one used here. Arturo started the fade from the bottom up in a way that just didn’t blend properly. As he moved to the line-up, the shape-up ended up uneven and angled — one side higher than the other. By the time he was done, the hairline was pushed back and slanted, almost like the “M” shape you see on Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z. When I got home and looked at it closely, I realized I had to fix it myself before an event that night. I paid the $30 out of respect, but I told him honestly that it didn’t look right. Overall, the environment was nice and the staff seemed chill, so I won’t judge the entire shop by one barber’s work. But this was one of the worst fades and lineups I’ve had in years. Arturo seems like a good guy, but he really needs more training — especially when it comes to working with different hair textures. In a diverse area like this, barbers should be able to handle all types of clients, not just one style. For now, I’m giving this place 1 star, based only on my personal experience with Arturo. I may give the shop another chance in the future, but definitely with a different barber.

I took my son to get a hair cut, Antonio did it and it turns out perfect, my sons hair is very soft and straight wich make it harder and very obvious when he has a bad hair cut , but Antonio did a wonderful job , he listened to what I wanted , I’m definitely coming back. UPDATE. Unfortunately I have to give them 1 start I came here again to get a hair cut for my son and it was 2 people a head of us , a third guy came in and when it was my son turn this barber walk out side to call the last guy and told the other barber “you take the kid” my blood was boiling I feel so disrespected , I am a paying customer , I’m not asking anything for free, the guy who ended up cutting my son hair did a great job and it was very respectful but I will never come back again .
