Advanced Women Health: Helen Hsieh, MD

Dr Hsieh and staff are wonderful! As someone who is in the medical field I can say Dr. Hsieh has an individual concern for every one of her patients and quite easy to contact, even on off hours. She takes her time and answers any questions I have. She has coached my husband and I through our recent pregnancy and has made us happy first time parents. Her staff is super friendly, and are medically competent. The office is always clean and in order. Appointments are flexible to same day. The wait time is extraordinarily low, compared to other places. Even if late, accommodations take place in a timely fashion. Thank you Dr. Hsieh!

Dr. Helen Hsieh has been my Gynecologist for 15 years and delivered my two boys. She is very knowledgeable, attentive and always gives good advice whether it’s your personal life or a medical issue. I believe I had easy natural births with my sons due to her extensive knowledge and experience. And even I relocated 4 years ago, I still have her as my doctor.

Was looking for an OB-GYN for my grandmother and came across this clinic. We had a 2:30 PM appointment but waited about an hour and a half before finally seeing the doctor. We were called in around the 45-minute to 1 hour mark for pre-screening questions with the medical assistant then waited again for the doctor. Aside from the long wait (we ended up late for our 4:10 PM appointment afterward), everything else went well. Just make sure to keep your schedule open if you plan to visit. The doctor is very nice, speaks both English and Chinese and gets straight to the point. She explained two treatment options, recommended the less painful one that doesn’t require anesthesia and only suggested the more invasive option if the first doesn’t work. I appreciate that she genuinely considers what’s best for my grandmother’s health without pushing unnecessary procedures.

Dr Hsieh was my gyno about 10 years ago and the only reason I stopped going to her was because I relocated. When I moved back and found out I was pregnant, she was the first doctor that came to my mind. She was not taking new OB patients but luckily I was still in their system from years ago so I was able to get an appointment. Dr Hsieh has a lot of experience and very knowledgeable. She is straight forward which some may take as lacking bedside manners but I found her to be efficient and direct. Her office is very busy so I can understand that there is no time for small talk. I trust her advice and she has always been kind during all my visits. She delivered my baby girl with no issue and I would have her as my OB again if I were to be pregnant again.

When I went to this clinic the previous year, they had a physician assistant. The pa was very nice and sweet. She respected my decision on what tests I felt comfortable doing and created a safe space which is important in a obgyn setting. On the other hand, the most recent visit I had, the actual Dr I saw was very impatient, rude, and made me feel disrespected during the visit. Doctor came in with an impatient attitude with no introduction as to who she is and abruptly asked why I was there and why i wasn’t open to certain procedures. I explained myself despite being anxious and confused. She gave me eye rolls and spoke in an annoyed tone after and did a perfunctory exam on me. I asked the front desk if she’s the doctor of the clinic and they said yes. The front desk also said the pa no longer works there anymore. If the only healthcare staff(the pa) working there has attitude decency and professionalism, the clinic is bound to fail.
