My go to tailor shop, and I don’t even live in Manhattan. They expertly execute simple and complex projects. For example, they were able to line a transparent wool and silk dress with multiple cutouts, panel by panel, so it is now opaque. Reasonable prices for quality work. Just remember to call BEFORE you come to pick up your item!

The best, have been going here for almost a decade. The integrity of the owner, tailors, and seamstresses there is unmatched. I will be going for years to come.

This is the best tailor is New York. Family owned & operated, Eduardo & Chino are extremely knowledgable, friendly, and welcoming. Always go above & beyond. Completed an incredible complex repair of a lining on my coat. Additionally, after they patched a pair of jeans, the back patch was re-sewn on without even asking for it. Look no further that Allen Tailor & Cleaning. Luckily I live above them but will keep coming back when I don't.

I came here twice after The Tailoring Room closed. The staff are very friendly which is a plus. However, these guys installed hardware on my pants incorrectly and missed items on my ticket that I paid for. Overall poor attention to detail. I will be finding another tailor.

Pleading, begging. If you have any sort of special occasion and expectation to have your stuff back in a certain amount of time. Just don’t walk through these doors. I dropped off my wedding outfits and was told to come back in 2 weeks. They have a policy where you need to call before you come pick up - now it makes so much sense why that policy is in place. I called and texted on the day of my pickup and was ghosted. I showed up finally two days after my pickup up date after not being able to get a response from them and my stuff was hanging up where I left it two weeks ago. The tailor swore up and down if I came back at closing he’d have it ready. Came back and nothing was done. I gave him yet another chance (stupid me) and told him I’ll come back in 3 days. Still didn’t have it done. And I leave for my wedding in 5 days. I have never been so stressed and so upset. I finally got my stuff and when I go to pick it up he says “can I do the shirt another time?” So he just fully didn’t do one item because he didn’t have the talent for it. This place wasted my time, my money because I have to go take the shirt to be done elsewhere on a rush job, and my sanity. Please avoid at all costs. Update: tried my dress on when I got to my wedding destination and it’s not even taken in in all of the areas we marked up. So my item just went on a little vacation to this horrific business for nearly 20 days - and I had to pay them $200 for it LOL.
