Life saver. For just $10 no one could tell my pants used to have a huge rip. And look at how neat this inside hem is. Really really beyond expectation.

I’ve been working with Miguel and the Alpha Tailors team for a year now as our backup tailor for our custom clothing company. Miguel’s work is intentional, precise, and consistently well-executed. We often have clients who experience weight changes, and Miguel does an exceptional job recutting garments while maintaining their original structure and fit. His craftsmanship and attention to detail have earned the trust of our team, to the point that they specifically request Alpha for more complex alterations than our other outsourced tailors. I’ve worked with many tailors over the years, and Miguel has truly been a pleasure to collaborate with. He always prioritizes the garment’s integrity and quality, and we deeply appreciate the care and expertise he brings to every piece!

I bring everything to Miguel, from basic jeans that need a hem or taper to expensive suits and wool coats. All of my clothes fit perfectly because of the work he does. He is ultimate local tailor for anyone who lives in lower Manhattan, but if I ever move to Brooklyn I’d still bring all of my clothes here.

Kinda a disappointing experience. Saw a tiktok where the creator was singing their praises, so I gave Alpha Tailor a chance. I should have known they didn’t know what they were doing when they first cut off the excess from my jeans, including the hem, but I assumed they knew how to do a proper denim hem. Fast forward 5 days later I pick up the jeans and they look so cheap now with a normal hem.

Thought I’d try this place out as a change from my usual, but unfortunately wouldn’t recommend. The owners are so standoffish and act as though they’re doing you a favor by assisting you. When I went to pick up my dresses, one didn’t right (straps still too long & slipping down) and the guy refused to make the tweak, insisting I would have to pay extra. A shame, because the other dress was tailored reasonably well. Lots of other tailors in the area with better service and more transparent pricing!
