Angel Advantage Center [8th Ave Branch]

I've had an amazing time while I was at Angel Advantage Center. I learned a lot of new things while I was here this summer as a student. There was free afterschool sessions and helped me when I was home too. When I needed help for homework I would text my TA and my TA would help me with what I needed. The teachers made class fun and exciting each day. I would recommend Angel Advantage Center to my friends and family members.

As a student that has been in Angel Center since 1st Grade up until now, Angel Center helped me improve academically. (I was in another angel center for 1st grade fall and summer, 2nd grade fall and summer, 5th grade fall and summer and 6th grade fall and summer) I was here in 3rd grade, 4th grade (remote), 7th grade and I’m currently in 8th grade. (This includes fall and summer) All the teachers at Angel Center are very helpful, supportive and humorous. I have made a lot of memories and had a lot of fun. (I also had a ton of philosophical speeches made by Mrs. Siu that were hours long- at least they really motivate me to keep working hard and think positive.) The teachers I have (Mrs. or Ms. Mamie and Mrs. Danielle) have been very helpful for my SHSAT prep. Not only did they teach a lot of topics, they also made sure every student understands and feels included. For example, they would ask questions to see if anyone needed help or was confused. If a student was confused, they would proficiently explain slowly and make sure they understood the topic. They are both wonderful amazing humorous teachers that make learning more fun and unforgettable. (like making students do some olympics competition and workout “rewards” in the middle of class.. ahem Mrs. Danielle.) I also would like to thank my TA’s/Staff (Mr. Jonny, Ms. Franny, Ms. Jenny, Mr. Preston and Ms. Angel (7th grade TA)for the hard work in grading and helping students out with homework!! They stay afterschool to help students with homework and have to deal with grading piles of messy handwriting homework. They are all very nice (maybe except for Mr. Preston (joke), funny, helpful and supportive. They support students who are feeling negatively about themselves and try their best to help. (they also run around like little kids trying to steal stuffed animals from one another) I have enjoyed all my fall and summer preps in Angel Center and had a lot of memories here. The Angel Center community is like a big family. Thank you all the teachers, staff and TA’s that helped me improve!! Have a great summer!! :)

I was a student at Angel Advantage Center and I had a wonderful experience there. I’ve never been in any kind of prep, A+, or whatever. At Angel Center, it was my first time at prep and I had fun here along with learning new things. Before taking the mock test, I thought I was extremely intelligent due to my high scores in public education. However, I was humbled after seeing my score for my first mock test. I have improved gradually during my time here in Angel. The teachers here are very warm hearted and welcoming, so are the TAs. They try to help you no matter what, even if it’s about personal matters. The work and entertainment is well balanced here and they try to make your summer fun while learning. You learn new skills along with important matters. Ex: Socializing and opening up to others. Trying new things and changing your mindset doesn’t hurt. In conclusion, I recommend coming here for new experiences!! (It also really helps with your intellect if you’re worried about it..)

I was a student here for two summers and I have to admit the two months that I spent here was actually fun. The teachers know what they are doing and have good humor, and the teacher’s assistants make sure that the students understand what they are taught. Sometimes we also play fun games when we are done with our work, so it’s not completely about doing worksheets and reading long passages. Most people here are all very chill and understanding, so there’s no doubt you will get along with your classmates and make some new friends. There are also some unhinged random times but that’s what makes the time you spend here in angel center fun 🥳🥳

Angel center is an amazing place. It's fun to bond with other students and work together on hard assignments. Teachers and teacher's assistants are also extremely helpful and enjoyable to be around. Classes may be hard, but the lovely people around me always help me understand. This is a great place and I recommend going.
