Animal Haven

We adopted our sweet baby in January, and it was the best decision in my life to get a kitty from a shelter! He is the sweetest boy! I was worried about adopting a kitty because i didn’t know how it works but workers from animal haven helped with all the questions during the process! Thank you guys! U are doing a very important job!

We recently adopted a dog from here and had an amazing experience! From the initial phone call to, meeting the dogs we were interested in and about a week later finally adopting the puppy of our dreams. May was very thorough with the entire process while being friendly and helpful. Our dog now named Tofu, came spayed, microchipped and has most of her puppy vaccinations. They also sent us home with all of her paperwork, some food, toys, leash and a collar along with pee pads. Thank you for letting us adopt the sweetest puppy ever, she has already brought so much joy to our family. All of the staff were friendly and facility was clean, we hope to adopt a friend for Tofu one day!

A month ago I adopted the most perfect 3 year old cat from Animal Haven. The volunteer staff were great. Very informative, friendly, and patient while they showed us around the clean and comfortable facilities. All of the cats looked very well cared for. We visited, met many cats, then left for a few hours to make sure we were ready to adopt. When we returned we had a short interview and application to submit — and then we were able to take our boy home that day. He settled right in and has been the perfect companion since.

I adopted my dog here, and the experience was very smooth. They really seem to care about the animals -- and ensuring that they find loving homes. The volunteers were great. The front desk staff were thorough and clear about the whole process. I love that this is a no-kill rescue, obviously. Thank you for rescuing my little guy and helping us bring his love into our home!

Lied terribly about the details of the cat we adopted found out through experience and the medical records sent days after her adoption. - Written that she was 7yrs but find in their medical records she’s 9yrs. - Was told perfect dental, she has no teeth! - Was told perfect health, she has ongoing stomach and bowel issues that we haven’t figured out how to resolve. - She was very calm and desensitized in the shelter, but the total opposite when she left because they never told us that she was filled with gabapentin! An anti anxiety med! - They knew about her bowel issues and tried to play it off by saying she was having a bit of diarrhea the day we picked her up, it’s been months of diarrhea! She’s sweet and deserves love and health, but we can’t give her all of that because they lied to us. I would never take on a cat I cannot give the right resources like exams and tests and medication. I am sure that there would’ve been someone who could take care of her even knowing all the true details. Very bad on animal haven’s behalf!
