I needed a local, NYC portrait artist to get a painting done for me quickly. I also needed high quality work. It was for a friend's pet that died so I decided to go with a pet portrait. I did my research and Boris consistently came up as a well reviewed and recommended artist. Turned out, he also creates custom pet urns. He offered one of his Hereafter frames to be paired with the painting which was perfect! Cause my friend wasn't ready to choose and buy her own urn. His work was perfect. He painted in a rough style with a touch of realism and captured my friend's dog's personality perfectly. The hereafter urn was also perfect and elegant. My only gripe is that it costed a lot more than expected. He did guarantee his work though and I got more than I expected. I highly recommend this artist if you ever need custom work.

I needed an artist to create a few abstract paintings for me. I hired Boris because of his high ratings and reviews online. I also wanted a local artist here in NYC and found him in Brooklyn. I specified a budget and gave him an idea of what I wanted and let him get to work. Boris managed to create an awesome 3 piece vibrant and colorful abstract painting that went perfectly with the decor in my apartment. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in custom artwork!

I met Boris about eight years ago in an art class that we shared at Brooklyn College. One of the first things that I noticed about him was his meticulous attention to detail and eye for color. Over the course of our friendship, I have seen a plethora of his work (including a piece that he painted for me, which I embellish on in this review) and everything he has done has been (and is) truly beautiful: timeless, deep, and natural. Boris goes to great lengths to ensure that the piece conveys the true nature of its owner and/or subject. The piece he did for me was of my daughter and her late grandfather, and it depicted the joy that the two had when in each other's presence. Boris not only used the picture I gave him, but sent me numerous updates of his progress. He is very professional in this respect, in addition to punctual timing and price. He will work with all of his clients to make sure that the piece is precisely the way it should be; precisely the way the owner sees it in his or her head.

Boris painted a oil canvas portrait of me and did an amazing job. The attention to detail was perfect, he even got all my freckles in the portrait! Everyone that has seen the portrait has said it's by far the best one they've seen and I'd have to agree. It was beyond my expectations. I'd recommend him 100 times over. Words can't describe how amazing this portrait came out.

I had an unbelievable experience with Boris. My friends and I were looking to get a painting of an newly engaged couple as an engagement gift. The couple took a picture together with their puppy and it was very beautiful and we thought it would be great as a painting. I searched the internet for a while looking for artists that could do this painting and I randomly came across Boris's website. His painting and art skills looked great from his gallery and it was exactly what we were looking for. I sent Boris an email and he immediately emailed me back and asked to see the photo that he would be hired to paint for us. He gave me a call back, complimented the photo, and gave me a few painting options and what he thought would be great. We were not looking for anything too serious, so he gave us the idea of an impressionist painting. His price for the painting was very reasonable and from our conversation he seemed very enthusiastic and motivated to paint this. As he painted, he kept in touch and emailed me pictures of the progress on the painting and the various stages he was in. It was great that he did that, is you may request certain changes throughout the process. He is always willing to make changes and he appreciates your input and suggestions. The finished painting came out great. We even paid a little more for him to do the framing. The wood work for the framing was very impressive. The engaged couple really loved the gift and were so happy.
