This American Chinese restaurant is awesome! The food tastes great and comes in huge portions—definitely worth the price. I ordered orange chicken, and it was perfect: crispy outside, juicy inside, with that sweet-and-savory sauce I love. The fried rice had lots of veggies and eggs, not greasy at all. The service was quick too. We didn’t wait long after ordering, and the staff were friendly when we asked for extra fortune cookies. The place is clean and cozy, good for a casual meal with friends or family. I left full and happy, already thinking about what to get next time. If you’re craving tasty, satisfying Chinese food, this spot won’t let you down. Highly recommend!

Wow the Grand Marnier Shrimp is OUTSTANDING. I have ordered it several times over the last several months. It pulls me out of a slump and the portions are terrific. The shrimp is cooked perfectly and bountiful. The candied walnuts are pleasing and different. The sauce, I would eat with a straw if I could! Gets even better in the fridge overnight. Yummy!

Dec '21 A very merry “Jewish” Christmas! May your egg rolls be crispy and your fortunes bright! No, this isn’t a Hanukkah post. Hanukkah isn’t the Jewish Christmas but you can scroll down my account to find a Hanukkah post to learn more. Instead, this is how many Jews “celebrate” Christmas - with Chinese food! I ordered General Tso’s chicken and white rice from Asian Taste. Why this? Well it’s become kind of a Jewish tradition to eat Chinese food and go to the movies on Christmas Eve. Again, why? Well because Jews and Chinese were the most populous non-Christian immigrant groups in the Lower East Side, NYC. Neither celebrates Christmas but still wanted to enjoy the festive season and Chinese restaurants were one of the few still open Christmas Eve. Chinese made a great meal for semi-kosher Jews since the meals are meat based and don’t mix with milk. So in the late 1800s/early 1900s Jews found themselves eating out at Chinese restaurants. And it’s a sort of tradition since.
