I tried to make an appointment in another place, which unfortunately didn’t work out. My anxious baby needed to be seen today since being outside was not an option. This vet clinic was more than accommodating! Fast, and dedicated service to me and my cat. Left with no questions. Great prices considering I was a walk in. Thank you Dr Russel for all your and your staff’s help and attention. If I’m ever back in NYC I will be sure to come again and visit. Thank you and have a wonderful new year! (Also did I mention their awesome energy? My cat is not usually okay with people touching or petting her, she was all in with the pets with the staff!)

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Austin Veterinary Care! I Extremely recommend!!My pup Loki absolutely loves coming here and that’s saying a lot, considering most dogs aren’t exactly thrilled about vet visits. From the moment we walk through the door, the staff is welcoming, kind, and incredibly professional. Dr. Russell is truly amazing with Loki. You can tell how much she genuinely cares, she always takes the time to make Loki feel comfortable, and explains everything thoroughly to me with such patience and compassion. Loki’s favorite person in the world (besides me!) might just be nurse Christine. Her warmth and gentleness always put him at ease, and it’s clear she has a real gift with animals. There have been multiple occasions where the entire team has gone above and beyond to help Loki, and my cat Benito every time I’ve left feeling so grateful to have found a place that treats my dog like family. Austin Veterinary Care is a gem, and we’re lucky to have them!

I've been bringing my dog to Austin’s Veterinary Care for quite some time now, and I couldn’t be happier with the care and attention they provide. The entire staff is warm, friendly, and genuinely passionate about animals. From routine check-ups to more urgent care, they've always made sure my dog is comfortable and well-cared for. Dr. Elizabeth Russell is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything clearly, addressing any concerns I have and offering thoughtful recommendations. The clinic is clean, well-organized, and the team is always quick to respond to any questions, whether by phone or email.I’ve also appreciated the flexibility in scheduling appointments, I highly recommend this Vet to any and everyone!!!!

They are amazing. So nice and knowledgeable. I went there as a first time client and they were very patient and explained everything. Cost was reasonable and they worked with you for best care. Definitely found my new vet.

I had a 3:00 PM appointment at Austin Veterinary Care. Since it was my first time visiting, I called at 2:40 PM to confirm both the time and location. At no point during that call was I informed of any policy stating that arriving more than 15 minutes late would require rescheduling. I arrived at 3:26 PM and was asked to wait in the clinic for about 20 minutes. At 3:50 PM, I was then told that I could not be seen that day and would need to reschedule. This was extremely frustrating, as I had already spent time and money to get there, only to be informed on-site that my appointment would not be honored. After I expressed that this was unreasonable, I was suddenly told that they could see me that day — but only if I paid nearly double the original exam fee. Given the lack of prior notice, the initial refusal to see me, and the sudden price increase, this experience felt highly unprofessional and unfair. If there is a strict late-arrival policy, it should be clearly communicated at the time of booking or during confirmation calls. Based on this experience, I am very disappointed with the clinic’s communication and service transparency.
