Baby Steps Daycare and Preschool II

Baby Steps Preschool is a great preschool! The teachers are all very warm and kind, made my child feel very welcomed and cared for in the school. Our child consistently comes home everyday telling us about the new skills and stories they have learned throughout the day. They have a well formed, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow in. All the way from meal plans to the activities the kids do everyday. We are very happy with the school!

Wonderful daycare/preschool. My son attended was there from 2020 to 2023 and my daughter was there from 2022 to 2025. My son learned so much, picked up good habits and went to Kindergarten fully prepared =). My daughter is on the spectrum, so she had multiple early intervention therapists conduct their sessions at Babysteps. Even without me asking, all her therapists raved about the staff and program. I really appreciated their patience with my daughter. The staff communicate well and really care for the kids. They are very structured, consistent, and organized. Thank you!

My son entered pre k program here in 2019. We are so grateful to the teachers and Julia, the owner is amazing. She enrolled my son and was very honest. I'm glad I was able to enroll my son. He grew mentally, physically, and socially. His speech gotten better, he stayed writing, and reading small words. Ms. Brianna is an amazing teacher, with so much knowledge and expertise in her field. She really makes sure all the kids receive proper education. Ms. Jasmine, a classroom assistant is very nice too. My son loves her so much. She makes sure he was always hydrated and nourished. They have an outstanding aftercare program and the price is very reasonable, especially for us working parents. Overall we will miss the school so much and advise everyone to send their kids.

My daughter has been part of the Babysteps family since she was 2, and it has been such a special part of her growth and development. She's had wonderful teachers and staff, and the community of parents is truly unmatched. When I first toured daycares, I wasn't happy with our options -- but after just one visit and conversation with Ms. Julia, I knew this was the right place. She runs a tight ship: practical, reasonable, and always communicative with prompt responses. I also love that she knows every child by name across both locations, which says so much about the care she puts in. They offer so many specials soccer, dance, Spanish, and include the parents in special events. It's a really wonderful community. Even though we didn't get a spot for pre-K, Ms. Julia still offered us an aftercare spot and went out of her way to help find accommodations to get our daughter there from her new school. She also saved us a spot for summer camp next year, which we're so grateful for -- it means our daughter will still get extra time with her friends from the past two years. Babysteps is truly the perfect place to trust with your little one.

Not only was difficult to choose a location for our daughter but It was also hard to entrust her care to other people who were not her parents. My husband and I have entrusted part of our responsibility of providing the initial educational and social skills of our daughter to Baby Steps since 2014. Baby Steps keeps children fully engaged with enriching activities, keeps parents fully informed of everything from activity to nutrition to behavior, sends pictures of our child regularly. Julia, the director, and her staff runs her daycare efficiently and on schedule. They are very sensitive and attentive to the individual needs of each family. Our daughter looks forward in seeing her teachers and friends everyday. This center it is definitely one of the best in Queens!
