Bay Ridge Fish Market

Bay Ridge Fish Market has by far the best seafood dishes I’ve ever eaten. I frequently order seafood boils for delivery from them, and they’ve always arrived super hot with the most tender and mouth-watering pieces of shrimp, mussels, crab, and lobster. The potatoes have a nice bite to them, the corn is nice and snappy, and everything complements the sauce perfectly. When dining in person, the seafood boil was ten times better than delivery—which I didn’t think was even possible. Everything was buttery and garlicky in the best way possible without being overbearing. I loved how easy it was to crack the shells for the crab and how succulent the meat tasted. And if you’re not a seafood person, they still have options for you! My husband ordered a cheeseburger with french fries, and although it’s not on the menu, I asked if they could make macaroni and cheese because I had seen it on Instagram. Well, best believe that that was the tastiest, most creamy, and flavorful macaroni and cheese I’ve had from a restaurant in so long. The burger was cooked to perfection, and the french fries were absolutely delicious. The staff was also absolutely incredible. I didn’t get the man’s name, but I think he might be the owner or manager. He was one of the nicest people I’ve spoken to. He engaged us in amazing conversation about local eats and cafes around Bay Ridge, really highlighting all the amazing places we have here when I commented how happy I am that they’re in the neighborhood. He seemed like such a genuinely kind person, and the staff cleaning and restocking were so attentive and friendly too. Please don’t miss out on getting a delicious meal, whether you dine in or take out. This is a perfect place for seafood lovers, and I can’t wait to try more dishes!

I came with my kids for my bday on a freezing night. Upon arrival, we were treated warmly and seated/attended to quickly. The menu was extensive which made it difficult to not want it all as we are a family who loves seafood! We ordered Mozzarella sticks, fried Calamari, Lobster Rolls, Shrimp Tacos, Crab Empanadas, Mac and Cheese and Octopus. Needless to say, my 2 year old made it a point to say “mom, goodt” after every bite. Seafood was fresh and all made to order. Delicious and would absolutely recommend. Constructive criticism: only thing I would upgrade is the seating area. Everything else was 10/10

Was craving a clean lunch, so looked up "fish restaurant." Holy moly, this was way above and beyond what we were expecting. Clam chowder, beautiful. Fish tacos, enormous and gorgeous. Roasted brocoli with some spicy concoction, revelatory. But the salmon & shrimp with those potatoes - THAT plate will keep me coming back for a long time. Owner Mo was warm and attentive, the cherry on top of a perfect meal.

Friendly Staff. When ordering the Brazino with veggies, it was about a 20-30 minute wait. The seasoning was great. You can taste the Thyme and Sage. The calamari and shrimp sandwhich was good as well. There is a outdoor seating area in the back. While waiting I noticed many families came and sat down to eat.

I’m extremely disappointed. I used to order the shrimp mac and cheese on Uber Eats because I work from home and it was a convenient lunch option. The portion size was reasonable, and at $15.74 it felt fairly priced. The issue is how the price has been handled. It jumped from $15.74 to $23 and some change, then dropped again to $20.24. Price swings like that in such a short time feel very shady and unfair. The quality has also declined. The shrimp used to be cooked into the mac and cheese; now it’s just 2–3 shrimp chopped up and slapped on top, which doesn’t justify the price at all. Just because customers order an off-the-menu item doesn’t mean sudden, inconsistent price increases are acceptable. This feels dishonest, breaks trust, and I will no longer recommend this place.
