First of all, this is my first time learning Mandarin in NYC as a college student. I can tell that my experience in Beautiful Mandarin has been wonderful. I have learned a lot and more than I would have imagined. Taking into account that English is not my first language, it took me less than 3 months to learn plenty of daily words that any person needs to know in order to communicate with a native Mandarin speaker. Second, the teachers are very patient, helpful and friendly. They always care about their students' pronunciation and encourage them to keep practicing more, which is a very important part of learning any language if you are a beginner as me. Third, the locations, both Manhattan and Long Island City, are very convenient since they are relatively near to the subway station. I highly recommend you to take their classes if you are really interested in learning Mandarin.

As a working professional with limited time (who does not work in Manhattan) found Beautiful Mandarin in LIC the most convenient. IMHO 6 month program is the best value and has not disappointed in quality. Teachers may rotate from week to week, but they are consistent as far as teaching materials, pronunciations, and Chinese character writing. They provide games to make it fun, music, videos, and etc. They'll provide the tools for you to advance your Chinese and answer your questions happily. Highly recommended for those living or working in Queens area. Ample of parking in evenings, as well. - Michael P.

Our 8 year olds have been enrolled in Beautiful Mandarin for a year. When they first started, they did not have any understanding of Mandarin. Now they are able to have short conversations with their grandparents, which is amazing. The teacher Sissi is incredibly patient and encouraging. The curriculum is well-designed, incorporating various teaching styles using flashcards, games and videos to keep them engaged and interested. Overall the kids have had a positive experience.

We love Beautiful Mandarin! Sissi is a fantastic teacher who has helped our 4-year-old develop a love of Mandarin and thrive in the classroom. Our daughter was initially anxious about joining the class, but Beautiful Mandarin's age-appropriate teaching methods and personal engagement made it easy for her to adapt quickly and this is now one of her favorite classes. It's been amazing to hear our child counting and describing colors in Mandarin outside of the classroom and also feel confident that she can learn anything. We recommend Beautiful Mandarin for any families looking to get started learning Mandarin.
