I'm seeing a lot of negativity in regards to the services provided from therapist and in regards to billing. 1- therapist will stay there just as long as anyone else working at a job; some probably are job hopping as the new trend these last five year. To blame the facility is being sort sighted. Yes it sucks to be swapped around like a hot potato; but fact that the facility is willing to work with clients to still give them care says something. Yet it is up to the clients who are seeking these services to made the final decision on wanting to go forward with a new clinician. No one is holding your hand, you have working functional brain to make decisions, based on what's best for you. And if you don't like the fact you keep swapping therapist, instead of blaming the facility- since clinician most likely found a better paying job else where. Why not reflect and see what you actually are comfortable in dealing with. 2- The billing as I saw pervious post from Brianna Cardiello; it can take up to almost a YEAR for health insurance to get back on paying for a claim. There is sooo much back and forth fighting to get every client's visits paid for. I personally was somewhere else and took 6months to get the bill; my boyfriend almost a year later from another place for blood work from quest diagnosis. A LOT of things got messed up during covid in regards to billing. And at one point your health insurance could have said no you're not responsible- but then change the contract of your health insurance and tell you, you have to pay more- same exact beast for your cellphone provider; especially Verizon. So to blame that, when EVERYONE gets in the mail what your health insurance paid for which doctor visit and states what you will most likely have to pay. Yes it states "this is not a bill" but think of it as an invoice or a quote on what you're most likely have to pay. Also please educate yourselves on if you have Deductibles and how high it is for specialist, Co-Insurance and Co-pays; plus the lovely new Out-of-Pocket maximum for the calendar year on how much you need to keep paying for co-pays/co-insurances. When the billing department realizes someone is struggling they ask for last four paystubs from your job or last year's income tax return and adjust the amount based on what one can most likely can afford- which is called a sliding scale. There are laws and rules to help people not be stuck with medical debt but YOU need to speak up and ask. Hospital I went to and lost my job, worked out that I only had to pay for the facility and not the 4 other bills for c-scans, endoscopy procedure and two different doctors that saw me. But that's because I spoke up and showed documentation that I wasn't able to afford and did a six month payment plan to pay it off. If after this you want to still cry and complain and bad mouth this place, I seriously suggest taking a hard look in the mirror and looking over the paperwork for your health insurance.
I love this company and my experience caring for my mental health. I have been coming here since I was a kid, and still am attending sessions as an adult. I felt like I was forced to go to sessions when I was a kid, and did not enjoy it. However, I felt like my therapist always showed up for me and understood my concerns. My provider has changed a lot of the years due to a high turnover rate, but I have always have felt cared for. I am not sure why there are a plethora of negative reviews. I see this company as people who want to help their community address their mental health needs. I recently also got to interact with the BPC outreach team and hear about the work they are doing in the NYC DOE school system. Additionally, I am a fan of the BPC Instagram posts and encouragement there. I love the spreading of resources as well through social media. Keep doing what you are doing.
I recently returned to Bleuler Psychotherapy center. I tried my best to be open minded but unfortunately I can’t do that. Not because I have an issue with the therapist or the office but for the fact that I have to see a therapist every two weeks and that’s too long. Let alone having difficulty seeing a psychiatrist. It’s very difficult to be Accommodated with this clinic, Because it’s difficult to see accommodations, there’s no really true way to mitigate And receive at least decent treatments and assistance from here!
Absolutely some of the most incompetent billing and customer services in the area. Very very poor communications, basically nonexistent. No statement, no email communications, no online payment (at least that's not the worst). They do not answer calls nor answer your questions. The only time they call you is when they ask you to pay. When you have questions on billing, they do not answer. They also have the habit of sending their clients to collection agency for their own failure of clarifying procedure and accounting details in a timely manner. That being said I feel the providers are professional and so was the leadership team but management team is a hot mess. Hire more and better people or change the team!
Scammers. From the beginning, I made it clear that I would only proceed with services if they were fully covered by my medical insurance. I was assured that my insurance would cover the costs, and based on that information, I agreed to receive the services. At no point did I authorize or sign up for out-of-pocket payments. It is extremely unfair and unprofessional to charge me after I was explicitly told that I would not be responsible for any costs as my insurance covered it all. Now every month they been charging me a lot of money and I'm a student. I only took a few sessions 5-6. In fact I even paid $900 overall And they said after that I'll be removed from the system and yet they still charging me. This institute should be banned by government. They're scamming vulnerable people
