The receptionist was amazing. Very kind, professional, and efficient. She made the check-in process easy and welcoming. Great first impression for the office!
My wife called this clinic as a new patient to ask a simple question about prenatal testing and was met with one of the most unprofessional experiences we’ve ever had. She was kept on hold for over 20 minutes, only to be spoken to rudely by a receptionist named Julian. When my wife politely asked whether the office performed a specific prenatal test, the receptionist gave confusing and contradictory answers — first saying they don’t offer it, then saying they do. Instead of answering her question, she demanded personal information (DOB and insurance number) before even confirming whether the clinic provided the service we were asking about. When my wife tried to clarify, the receptionist accused her of “having an attitude,” which is completely inappropriate — especially toward a pregnant woman just seeking basic information. My wife has over 8 years of experience as a medical receptionist and currently works in the healthcare field, so she knows exactly what professionalism and patient care should look like. This behavior was beyond unacceptable. She asked to speak with a manager, and the receptionist claimed no one was available. That alone says a lot about how this office is run. If this is the kind of treatment new patients can expect, we’ll be taking our care elsewhere — and we strongly advise others to do the same.
The woman who answered (Julianne) did not greet me — no “hello” or “good morning.” Instead, she immediately asked for my date of birth and last name without any introduction or explanation. When I asked a simple question about whether they offer non-invasive prenatal testing (a very standard first-trimester screening), she told me she didn’t know what I was talking about, put me on hold, and then came back repeating the same words back to me rather than answering my question. Throughout the call she put me on hold without warning, was dismissive, and became passive aggressive when I asked for clarification. When I asked to speak to another staff member or a manager, she first claimed no one was available, then said her manager “just left,” and initially refused to give me her name. As a pregnant woman calling to establish care, this was incredibly upsetting. Professionalism and compassion are crucial in an OB office — this is a vulnerable time and patients deserve to feel welcomed and supported. I’ve worked as a receptionist for years and basic courtesy and communication are standard healthcare protocol. Sadly, that was not shown here. As someone who had over eight years of experience as a medical receptionist and I currently work in the healthcare field, I know exactly what professionalism is and what patient care should look like. This women, Julian or Julianne should be fired.
They used to be a good doctor office but not anymore. Wait time was over 1 1/2 hours just to do first test plus more wait time for other test and seeing a doctor. Look for another office if you value your time. Ask why the long wait and they say we are very backed up and laugh at you. If I can give them negative stars I would have given them negative 5 stars.
Front desk is rude and delay checking in patients in because there having conversations out loud among each other so when you go up just to check in they even looked bothered. Patient care isn’t the same anymore in the practice. Some of the front desk workers are on the phone while there screen is open with patient info which is a violation to HIPPA.
