Braised Canaan 迦南地滷味

Got a tongue here. Guys were eating lunch when I arrived but quickly stopped to help me. I was amazed by how polite and courteous they treated me (im white and used to short tempered service unfortunately on Main st). That was NOT the case here. Very super friendly. And I just made myself a tongue sandwich. Delicious!!

This place sells Tianjin style smoked meats. A whole chicken is about $15 and they have rabbit, pigeon and other meats for the more adventurous. I've only had the chicken and it was pretty good. The meat is really soft and juicy and well flavored. The flavors however are very authentic and it may not be for you if you're used to western fried chicken. The whole chicken also comes with the head and feet as well if you're into that. At least you know they're not buying supermarket chicken. Personally the flavor are very difficult for my palate but I still enjoyed the experience.

A must try hidden gem for the best braised meats I’ve had in the states. Food is delicious and price is great. Would highly recommend their braised beef shank, chicken liver, chicken gizzards, and pork tongue, they are must gets. The pork liver, stomach, and beef tripe are great as well! The meats are braised low and slow, so flavorful and tender. Just make sure to get there early or they will sell out quick. Owner is nice and kind as well. I always get this when in Flushing. That’s how good this place is.

Stop by here to get all kinds of marinated and spiced meats. Their smoked chicken goes fast, they make two batches a day and they're almost always sold out before 5:00. They are not open on Sundays.

Authentic chinese food restaurant. I like most of their seafood dishes. Prices are fair. The area is hard to get parking. They do have meters out front that are 2 hour parking 730am to 10pm, except sundays. Clean restaurant. They have an A for the grade.
