We are beyond grateful to have found Dr. Brena Desai for our children! With three kids, finding a pediatrician who is not only knowledgeable but also compassionate can be challenging, but Dr. Desai exceeds all expectations. Each time we visit, they take the time to listen to our concerns, making our kids feel comfortable and at ease, which is no small feat! Dr. Desai is incredibly patient, thorough, and always provides clear explanations of any diagnosis or treatment plans. If doctor Desai comes off strong it is because she has a system that works! Anything that happens with the child she wants to be on board with. If the child goes to the emergency room she must know. It is because as the child’s pediatrician she cares enough to want to know what is going on. I have no issues at all here. At first I wasn’t sure because she comes off a little strong and that is only because she is serious about what she does. But she always greets us kindly and is very sweet to my daughter, I have nothing bad to say about this doctor and the staff. I will continue bringing my child here. Thank you for all you do Dr Desai! And we love doctor Edwards as well!

Dr Desai is a very good doctor. I like when she speaks to my son and daughter to find out what is there complain/ concern. If they leave out anything then I add on. We love doctor Desai. I switched to DD after our pediatrician retired. I agree with the ridiculous waiting time. Last visit we were the only one in the waiting area and were seen after almost hour and half. Staff is the another issue. There is no communication. I love the staff she had before. But with all said, I will continue with the doctor because she is the best. Moreover changing the doctor after she knows my children’s body chemistry is not worth it.

Worse Doctor ever. She should not deserved to have that Doctor certification at all. I changed my son Doctor from her to a new doctor. Informed her office about that and they said they will transfer my son medical records to the new doctor after getting the authorization. After about five months later when I needed to make my son doctor appointment with new doctor, they said Brena's office never sent my son medical record. I called and went to Brena's office, front desk lady and talked to Brena, they told me again they sending his medical records right now. I went to my son new doctor office, and was standing for about an hour. In the meanwhile I called Brena's office about 5 to 6 times. Same thing they been saying. I called my son health insurance and also told the new doctor office to give call to Brena's office for records transfer. I was so mad about the whole situation I ended up complained about this incident to New York State Department of Health, medical boards OPMC, attorney General office and some other departments. For any future parents, this what is coming in to you, if you gonna change her to a new doctor.
