We went there for Chinese New Year's Eve dinner. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding! We reserved the large private room that accommodates 20 people.
recently visited Canton Manor for a birthday celebration, and the experience was truly memorable. The server was exceptionally attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed and making the occasion feel extra special. We ordered a variety of dishes, including grilled pork, shrimp with mayonnaise, abalone, crab, poached chicken, noodles, crab rice, and steamed fish. Each dish was prepared to perfection—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The grilled pork was tender and well-seasoned, the shrimp was delightfully creamy with just the right balance of flavors, and the steamed fish was incredibly fresh and delicate. The abalone and crab dishes were standout highlights, showcasing the restaurant’s attention to quality ingredients. The combination of exceptional food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere made this birthday celebration truly special. Canton Manor is a fantastic choice for both special occasions and casual dining, and I can’t wait to return!
Love dim sum. Bayside has the best dim sum. When this dim sum spot opened I was very happy. I go all the time. Food is authentic, tastes great. It gets very busy on the weekend. Need to go early as they don’t take reservations on the weekend for dim sum. It’s not that bad of a wait though if you do come later during the rush. Maybe around 30 minutes wait. It’s worth it.
We came for dim sum on lunar new year's eve. The restaurant was very busy and had limited dim sum options, mostly buns, rice rolls, porridge, and no seafood dim sum. We ordered two dishes which were decent.
After seeing videos in tik tok and other social media outlets, I decided to stop by Cantor Manor for a quick bite during Dim Sum hours. There were lots of people waiting for a table. I was just 1 person, but I still had to wait 15 to 20 min. I tried their siu mai, beef noodle roll, congee, and a waiter was offering a small plate of roast pig, which I got. (see photo). To my surprise, when the bill came it was for $47.25! to which I asked why was that, then I saw a plate on my bill described in chinese with the price of $26.95. I asked what was that? and they told me that it was the pig dish, that it was suckling pig and that it was a "very special dish" They couldn't show it to me in their menu, and I had to take their word for it, so I just paid the bill and leave. I know most of all the Dim Sum places in Flushing, and I never encounter a problem like this. My advice to the restaurant, if you are going to charge that much for a small dish, put it in writing in your menu, and have your waiters advice of the price of the dish, before giving it to a table.
