My kid has been taking classes here since 2023, and the experience has been really great for his self esteem, confidence, fitness, and dedication to keeping goals. Master Michael is excellent. Classes are fun but serious, and he knows every single student’s name. Amazing!!

I highly recommend Champions Martial Arts in Kew Gardens for Taekwondo. I’ve now completed a year and would like to share how Fourth Dan Black Belt, Master-Charles Michael Silla has changed my life! Master Michael has such a well balanced pedagogy and creates a warm, friendly, encouraging “classroom” environment. He’s a highly experienced, caring teacher, very patient with both kids, teens and adults. Master Michael always has his students best interests at heart and goes above and beyond, offering extra help when needed. His inspiration and encouragement has brought me and my family from beginners with no belt to green tip, about to become blue belts! Master-Michael also motivates us to train hard, cultivate daily practice habits, and even encourages us to participate in tournaments. Under his teachings and support I participated in my very first martial arts tournament, winning two gold medals. More importantly, Master Michael and Champion Martial Arts has given me the proper traditional Taekwondo training, providing a safe space where each one of us feel empowered and a special part of The Champions Martial Arts International community. Although Master Michael is a fourth-degree black belt he continues to study. Thus, as his students, we get additional knowledge and training in boxing, kicking boxing and mixed martial arts! We also learn the Korean language, traditional Taekwondo discipline and culture! Plus the cardio vascular endurance training, meditation and way of life has changed my life for a more healthy body and mind. I’m honored to be Master Michael’s student and part of the CMA team! My daughters have been coming to Champions Kew Gardens for a year and have been loving it!! Master Michael is so caring with the children while teaching them discipline and the art of taekwondo. Highly recommend.

My 6 yr old absolutely loves coming to class! Master Michael is motivating, and his leaders are great with the kids. So happy to have joined.
