David was incredibly helpful getting my husband and me organized on Quickbooks. I really appreciated his easy going personality, yet he is very professional, prompt and knowledgeable. We will definitely continue to use him, and suggest that anyone who is looking for help with getting set up and organized with their personal finances (as well as business), he is a great fit.

I've been working with David on several different complex tax matters. One was a business tax issue involving the IRS which they saved me thousands of dollars and an audit which was addressed very promptly. I will also be using them again in the coming months for another item due to their outstanding services to date. Every time I've written an email or text, they respond in lightening speed and fully explain things to me that may be too technical for me to understand on my own. I would HIGHLY recommend David. I can't say enough about the help and advice they have offered me thus far.

David is a versatile accountant and is knowledgeable. I’ve been filing taxes with him for 5+ years and recently started business tax with him and still haven’t got disappointed. His service charge is good. He might be sometime is busy and forget something but be on point on communicating, the problems get solved.

I have mixed feelings about David Zhang of Elmhurst CPA and his staff. In my three year history with this firm, I would say that I have been 80% satisfied. The 20% reserve is due to challenges with getting in touch with David and a minor error in filing. However, the service had been decent overall. This year, when filing, I asked that my federal refund be set up for direct deposit, and I would contact the state independently. The payment to NYS was debuted from my account. When I tried to call David Zhang, I didn't get an answer, but I left a message. Then I sent an email, which he responded to. He offered to refund part of his fee but then stated we would part ways going forward. I was confused by this statement and asked for an explanation and clarification as I had done nothing unfair. Although I received the partial refund, there has been no explanation about why we should part ways. It is my understanding that when a business makes a mistake, they are gracious, humble and offer a way to repair the misstep. Not terminate the relationship with the client who is not at fault. The wntire experience was/is quite confusing. I would not say do not use the service, but I would say to be aware. The willingness to take responsibility seems unreliable. Lastly, I have seen that any negative reviews here are met with denial of the relationship. I absolutely had professional dealings with David Zhang of Elmhurst CPA. Yedda is Terrific...!!!

He is extremely unethical and a liar! You CANNOT trust him. I asked him several times to password protect my tax returns but they are emailed without any security. He FORGOT to file my 2019 NY and NJ state taxes and I didn't find out from the state tax agency until 4 years later that I owe $7000 in penalties and interest! He requested a penalty abatement on my behalf by lying to NY state that the accountant went into labor while doing my taxes. I requested that he pay for his responsibility of $3700. He would only agree to pay for $1000. He claims it's my responsibility to audit him and tell him that they were not filed. I am suing him in small claims.
