Really good. Food was prepared, served surprisingly fast. Employees are polite. Tasted great also.

China Xiang is one of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to in NYC. They offer Hunan cuisine, which is less common than other types of Chinese cuisine. It is also known as Xiang cuisine, hence the name China Xiang. This type of food is characterized by its dry spicy flavour and also cured/smoked ingredients. Unfortunately, one of my friends who I went with doesn't have a high spice tolerance, so we did not order that many spicy dishes. It was still an incredible meal. But I need to pay another visit to experience the true flavours.

The best Hunan style Fish Head with chopped chili peppers! I have been searching this dish in various cities and this is the best one I have tasted — rivals the best Hunan restaurants in Shanghai. Fresh, flavorful, the perfect amount of spice, served in a huge ceramic basin. Will definitely return and bring family & friends. The restaurant also has a big menu with lots of other authentic Chinese dishes that I want to try next time.

The food at China Xiang was phenomenal. I would dine here over and over again. The service was wonderful as well. They have a lunch menu during the week. We ate here in a Saturday and the portion size was definitely enough to share with another person. We had Beef udon and Beef and Broccoli.... absolutely delicious. Right down the street from the port authority station.

For “Chinese” food… not a lot of flavor. Hot and sour soup… not hot or sour, also no crunchy noodles served with. Small 3.95 General Tsos Chicken… fairly bland 18.95 Included small white rice. No soy sauce or duck sauce.
