Chu Kee Dumpling

This place is definition of value for money! For a few dollars, you can tuck into a bowl of dumplings, some buns, a bowl of noodles, some sweet or savoury tofu, or some sticky rice. Food is fresh and service is fast. Perfect for picking up breakfast or some snacks. It is tucked away so can be hard to find.

It is a small shop and does not look too fancy, and dine in is not allowed. But, it offers the best chinese rice ball in the Flushing, NY. It is $3 per rice ball order, and it is so large that I need to break it into half; and that is an all day meal. The soy bean milk is great. I think it is the best one comparing what the same soy bean milk out in the supermarket. This store offer fresh made soy bean milk daily. I ask for no sugar in my soy bean milk. I have another order has sugar added.

Bought two steamed vegetable and pork buns. They’re a nice size and make for a decent meal. The vegetable and pork at the center is a nice size and the bread surrounding this remains fluffy and not very soggy. It’s a very busy food shop operating from the window and inside. Not sure if it was cash only but transactions were much quicker with cash.

The shop mainly sells Northern Chinese wheat-based pastries and dim sum, including dumplings, potstickers, steamed buns (mantou), leek pockets, scallion pancakes, and filled flatbreads. They also offer soy milk and tofu pudding. The food is consistently delicious and authentic, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended!

I have bought one steamed plain bun today. My mommy loves this place. They serve many different kinds of Chinese breakfast.
