My mom and I have been to this supermarket on a weekend and that there were lots of sales and that the prices were nice. Also, there were lots of people there looking or buying things. The supermarket sells lots of live seafood like lobster, fish, crabs and other. The both of us bought lots of food in there.
You can always find good sales here. Large selection of grocery items. Line is usually a bit long.
I really like this Asian supermarket because I can find almost everything I want here. The prices are good as well. What I don't like is the fact that I can rarely find anyone who speaks English, and the fact that I've run into a few rude people.
Competitive prices around the neighborhood. Excellent selection of groceries that you can get in one location. Always busy. It's pretty tidy considering this is Chinatown.
My mom stopped by this supermarket today after a doctor’s visit to pick up some fruit. She has an old hand injury that makes it difficult to handle things, and she may have accidentally dropped a piece of fruit under the counter, possibly hitting the cashier’s foot. She didn’t notice, and nothing was said at the time.
After paying, she politely asked if she could have an extra bag to use as a tie, but the cashier rudely said “no,” and only then brought up the foot incident, saying, “you hit my foot and didn’t even apologize.” My mother immediately explained that she hadn’t realized and it wasn’t intentional, but the cashier continued to speak to her in a disrespectful and condescending way.
I later checked the reviews and saw many others have complained about the poor service here. As a business owner myself, I understand how important customer service is. I hope management takes these concerns seriously—just because elderly customers don’t leave reviews doesn’t mean they can be mistreated or spoken to however one pleases.
Service like this will only drive more customers away. But maybe the management simply doesn’t care anymore.
