Cienega Las Tlayudas de Oaxaca

Please stop giving them 1-star for being closed. They had a fire a couple years ago, the place was burnt to ashes, pitch black. It seems like they’ve have been trying to reopen which I’m sure isn’t easy with: permits, rebuilding and insurance etc. This is my favorite taco spot in Queens, hopefully you return back and better soon. Can’t wait for the re-opening, I’ve passed by a couple times and they seem to be almost ready!!! :)

I went there with a Mexican executive after watching a few matches of the nearby US Open. I was confident she would not be disappointed at the food because the restaurant had been lauded by New York Times. We both ordered tlayudas and looooved them. She said they were fantastic and authentic as they come. The restaurant is very simple but the staff is lovely.

This place is awesome, the food taste incredible and authentic Mexican. Idk why it closed but I passed by and it says reopening soon. I’m really excited and looking forward to come back.

To begin, I'd like to keep things basic. There will be no equivocation. This site is incredible! What a lovely vibe. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic. Tlayuda with meat and spicy sausage was delicious. My uncle and brother each ordered a quesadilla. Quesadillas with shrimp and meat. We were astounded by the big amounts and, more significantly, the exquisite flavor of each choice. As an appetizer, we had some chips and guacamole. Creamy, delicious, and rich. We experienced humble individuals and a warm welcome. I'll be back in a heartbeat. After hesitating for a long time trying to find out where to eat, this was the best decision we've made. Thank you so much for everything.

One of the best place for Mexican food in the city. The food is from Oaxaca in central Mexico. This is a small family owned business with limited seating. The food tastes amazing and there is a large selection. There is also a number of Mexican soft drinks available. The food is reasonable priced and the service is decent. Definitely would recommend this place.
