Ill start with just a quick explanation of why 2 stars. My sister and I both have wonderful therapist. That have helped us both tremendously. The tools they have given us both has made a dramatic change in our lives for the better. So I thought my mom would benefit from it as well. And boy was I mistaken. Now do understand when my sister and I first started it was under a different management from what it is today. I stared my mom in 2024. By the time it was Dec she had gone through 5 therapist because they all said they left CPHC. Fast forward to Jan 2025. I was told my mom will be having a therapist in the new year and I would receive a phone call. Now it's April 2025 and my mom said in Feb to not fight for it because they don't care about the elderly. This is a big let down, to even see this happen. So If your looking for elderly help this isn't the one. Save yourself the stress.

I’m very disappointed with my experience at Comprehensive Counseling. I sought care in good faith and provided all the necessary insurance information, including an active EAP authorization. However, they proceeded to bill my insurance incorrectly using a provider not covered by the authorization and then charged me directly for sessions I was told would be covered. Despite my attempts to clarify and resolve the issue, they insisted the charges were valid and failed to acknowledge any responsibility for the billing error. Now I’m stuck with a large bill for sessions I wouldn’t have agreed to if I’d known they weren’t properly authorized. This feels dishonest and exploitative, especially from a mental health provider. I would strongly caution others to double- and triple-check their insurance details and get confirmation in writing before proceeding with care here. I’m also pursuing a formal appeal with my insurance and considering reporting this as insurance fraud.

DO NOT BOOK SERVICES WITH THIS PLACE. I was scheduled for 3 virtual sessions on Sundays, and the therapist only showed up to 1 appointment. In May I decided to not coordinate any future appointments with this therapist/center however I was charged a no-show fee of $80 for an appointment that was scheduled without my confirmation/acknowledgement. I was later reimbursed only after leaving multiple voicemails and sending emails. Today, I received an email that I've been charged again $80 for a no show fee however back in May I spoke with reception to cancel any/all appointments + my account and spoke with billing to ensure this would not occur again. I've now had to send emails and leave multiple voicemails yet again and wait to hear back. AVOID THIS PLACE ENTIRELY.

Honestly what an absolutely awful company. If I could rate them lower than 1 star, I would. I loved my therapist but after 5 MONTHS of seeing her she never should have been my therapist to begin with. Comprehensive Counseling never should have accepted me as a patient because they did NOT take my insurance but they told me that they DID. So for 5 months I was incurring out of pocket bills without even knowing. I even contacted them to double check and make sure that everything was fine and then told me to continue seeing my therapist and that it was an error that ‘they would take care of’. The worst part of all, is that completely out of the blue, my therapist had to terminate with me and I am now left without any services at a moments notice. I am far worse off now than I was before I even started services and I feel completely and totally abandoned. HORRIBLE COMPANY, seek therapy elsewhere.
