As a newbie, just over 1 year in the hobby this was my second visit and this place just doesn’t disappoint! Got there at 6:30 greeted by smiles and several helpful folks! They made me feel that they wouldn’t let me leave until they solved my issues! Thank you so much!!! Tank is almost set in place today!!!

Excellent!!!…They have everything…Vast Knowledge, Experienced/Friendly Staff, Products for Various Hobbies for a True Animal First Pet Store! I can attest to that through family & friends. I know because I frequent this business and as a repeat customer I’ve been talked out of unnecessary products/approaches/equipment and practices that I’ve brought up surfing the internet regarding my reef tank. Which is a testament to this stores concern of a healthy well balanced tank that supports its inhabitants over siphoning money from their customer. Thank you!!!

I purchased my chickens hay and crickets from here. It’s the best quality for the surrounding areas. I also purchase my dog’s food from here. They are one of the only animal feed distributors that have a vast selection. My dog eats regular small kibble with freeze dry meat in it and I buy their gravy packets.

I love this place. The fish section is really nice and ofc the land animals are very nice as well. Especially the wallaby that roams around. I do have a question tho. Kinda niche, but probably around 10 years ago you guys had some strange blue/black type bear thing in the back room and the light was always off so I couldn’t see it very well. It ALWAYS interested me and every time I think about this place I always think about that animal. There was a note on that window of the door that said it was being transferred to the holtsville ecology site I believe, for better care. But yea, it looked like a blueish bear and it was quite big. If the owner or anyone knows what I’m talking about and what kind of animal it was I would love a reply! Great place

They’re one of the only pet stores that sell live rats and they twice gave me 70g rats labeled as weaned (they’re not supposed to be bigger than 45g). the most recent one had a nasty cut on its leg that looked infected. Obvi didn’t feed it to my snake, complete waste of a trip
