TLDR: Local BBQ place in Murray Hill with CHARCOAL. Impressive banchan spread and equally great service. Plus, how many places have Iberico pork?!? I feel like with most BBQ places, you have to pick one particular meat but some places do well with multiple types. Daori is one of those places. They're most well known for their duck but everything sounded good - I needed to try one from each category. Pork, we opted for the Iberico "bimilsal" or secreto. Grilled over charcoal, it has this incredibly nice marbling and very luscious texture. Duck, we got the spicy marinated duck which kind of reminds you of jeyukbokkeum but with thin-sliced duck. Beef, got the galbi. Very nice scoring and some very tasty bites. Overall - really enjoyed this place and will definitely come back. I think I'll need to try the non-marinated duck and some other Iberico cuts on my next visit.

We ordered the pork belly and bibim makguksu which is the buckwheat noodle with vegetables mixed with sweet and spicy sauce. Because we only order a single bbq dish thus it was being done from the kitchen. The bibim makguksu tastes good, not too sweet and not too spicy. The cold soup that they served before banchan is very refreshing. They also serve a lot of banchan as you can see in the picture. The service here is excellent! And the environment is clean!

The restaurant atmosphere is clean and the side dishes are delicious. The raw duck meat looked fresh and satisfying, and the taste after grilling was also good. The staff was friendly. It is a place I would like to visit again.

I had their one of lunch menu. I always appreciate side dishes included their main menu. Great service with great food. I know all the restaurants owner suffers bad economic circumstances. Hope this business stay longer.

Second time being here and I’d only recommend this place for the duck. Their banchan selection is amazing and comes with refills. This time, we ordered the duck, galbi, and pork belly. The server basically boiled our galbi and it was the toughest meat I’ve ever eaten for $45. The pork belly was alright, and could’ve been seared more.
