DHL Express Service Point Long Island City

I forgot to get her name, but the employee on shift at 3/9/26 at 11:40am is a real hero! The sorting facility somehow sent my package to NJ for pickup and sent me an email for pick-up in NY location. Super frustrating. She took care of me by emailing the location and have it corrected to the NY address. Best DHL location by far in the city. Thank you!

Inaccessible delivery drivers. You’d think with the rates DHL charges they would at the minimum at least be able to arrive at businesses by the 5PM deadline. Not this local office. It’s past 7PM and a time-sensitive package is late. Customer service says they have no way to contact the driver. Completely unacceptable and inexcusable. Use UPS. Updated to 4 stars after DHL reached out by email and tried to fix this.

I’m giving two stars only for the customer service I received from Jennifer on 02/09/25. I was supposed to get my package delivered on 02/06/25 by the end of the day. But, before 10 PM on that day, I received an email saying that my package is on hold because of the costume charges. I eventually paid $20 extra ( on top of their $375 for international shipping) so my package can be release, and they told me that the confirmation for my payment was received late in the driver could not do the delivery without payment confirmation. Then, immediately I went in the website to choose for pick up, knowing that the officers will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, and when I get there, these lady Jennifer explained to me that some driver took my package without reading the instructions for PICK UP. They offered me to wait so another driver will go and meet the other person to get my package and bring it over the office. Very sensitive archival material that I was expecting anxiously, and that was not the arrangement I paid for, the service was supposed to be bringing the delivery at my door… I am happy that they were able to fix that issue the same day, and I felt calm when I walked out with the box. 📦 But it is frustrating when we are doing the best to give them information regarding the delivery time and date, and do not pay attention to the details. ACCIDENTAL WORKOUT I was excited to try the $200 luggage shipping promo—a smart alternative to airline fees. Unfortunately, the location didn't get the memo. I was greeted by Gloria, who first tried to talk me out of giving them my business, and then directed me to weigh my massive checked bag on a countertop scale. Since this shipping logistics company apparently doesn't own a floor scale, I had to clean-and-jerk my 80lb suitcase up to chest height while Gloria watched with a stone-cold expression. She declined to help with the 'intuitive' online process as an alternative way while I was already there in-store. Great service concept, but bring a weightlifting belt if you come to this location.

Horrible service. Tracking was inaccurate so the delivery came at a time when it wasn’t intended/ I wasn’t home which shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place since I agreed to the signature release. I scheduled a redelivery and stayed home to receive it, watching the tracking updates so I wouldn’t miss the delivery, only for the driver to straight up LIE about stopping by and no one being home when there was zero attempt to contact me. When I called customer service they said they would have the driver return but they never did. I guess I have to go pick it up myself now and waste even more of my time. I’ve never had issues with dhl packages being delivered to my building mail room before so I can only assume incompetence and laziness on the delivery person’s part. I’ll avoid dhl in the future
