Doggie Dearest

I’ve been bringing my dog Elle to Doggie Dearest for over a year and could not be happier. I initially had been bringing Elle elsewhere but noticed both how rude that groomer was to me and also how Elle would refuse to even turn onto the block of that groomer and would shake walking by. I can tell that Elle loves Evelyn even if she’s not thrilled about the grooming, I know she’s being treated kindly there and being exceptionally taken care of. Evelyn also does a wonderful job with the haircuts themselves and even texts me to remind me when Elle is due for another, collaboratively and proactively preventing any sort of matting in my poodle mix. I always feel glad to give Evelyn both my dog and my business and hope to continue for years to come!

So glad i found Doggie Dearest! Our dog Finn doesn’t need complicated grooming, but he does need more trimming than i can do at home. Evelyn and her team are caring and skilled, and she takes the time to discuss services clearly — Finn leaves her shop happy and looking great! The price is very reasonable, and Evelyn has super helpful tips about dog care and behavior. Highly recommended.

We've been here several times and our dog always looks so cute once finished! This is the 3rd groomer we've been to in NYC and they are by far the fastest. Our poor dog was at a groomer for 8 hours once (she's only a 25lb cocker spaniel) and it was important for us to find a place that focused their attention on one dog at a time, which is what they do at Doggie Dearest and I love that! Our dog was in and out in less than 2 hours. The owner has always been super friendly as well. The only reason we didn't come sooner is because the phone number listed online rings without answer. I would recommend texting to schedule an appt as she's very responsive via text!

The women here are awesome! I have a Frenchie who has a “big personality” and who is not a fan of a bath or nail trim. Her behavior has warranted some less than positive feedback from other groomers. But she was super at ease with the Doggie Dearest team, who said they had no problems with her! They know what they are doing, and they are just wonderful with dogs.
