Dr. Gang Shi, L A.c has been treating me for almost four years, and I highly recommend his practice. I came to Dr. Shi with the worst-case scenario involving conditions that affected every organ in my body, including a serious back condition and macular degeneration. I suffered from organ failure and was hospitalized for three months in an ICU on dialysis twenty-four hours a day. Things were very serious. I was so sick I could barely take ten steps before I had to rest and take ten more and so on until l was able to reach the treatment room. The Western doctors I saw and still see, treat and have treated my symptoms, at that time without much progress. My body grew weaker, the fluid retained because of my two heart valve conditions made me gain one hundred pounds. I know Dr. Shi saw the challenge I presented, but that didn't deter him from treating me. He designed a brilliant treatment plan to address my whole body system. His acute awareness, insight, and years of experience culminated in his masterful application. He cautioned me that this would take some work., my system was quite damaged and compromised. I stayed with it as did he. The resulting improvement in my health is miraculous! My heart, my liver, my kidneys, my digestive system, my migraines are greatly improved!I recently canceled the recommended epidural shots for my spine because it has greatly improved so much that I have less pain now, and the scans of my back are better. Dr. Shi worked on the macular degeneration in my eyes. I am now in remission and no longer need the horrible shots in my eyes I suffered with for years. My retinologist was amazed and now sees Dr. Shi herself and her family. I must mention here that my son receives massage therapy from Huan Mei before his acupuncture treatment. Everyone in in my son's day-hab program has seen the difference in his posture and seating position. Huan Mei (May) is fabulous! Her skill, lovely demeanor and personality are a winner! Dr. Shi's commitment to me and my family as his patients is unique to me as I have been treated by Western medicine where the protocol is to be removed personality from the patient. Dr. Shi has become like a trusted family member, someone we feel we can always turn to. I need to mention Jean Dash before I can finish my review. She runs the office efficiently with patience and grace. She is a pleasure to work with and is always there for us Jean is quite knowledgeable and educated about the medical world, making her position as the liason between patients and the practice successful. Dr. Shi is my best doctor and the only one who has systemically helped me.

I am closing in on 85 years of age of which 50 of these years or more I have suffered with constipation. I have tried whatever my doctors have prescribed, maybe a little relief, but same discomfort again and again. I went to see Dr Shi and he said, “I can fix your problem”, and I replied, “I hope so”. Dr. Shi is a true professional and he kept his word. The acupuncture treatment was accompanied by massage. This has been a life changing experience and my constipation problems are a thing of the past. I was diagnosed with Lupus about 13 years ago and I have been going to Dr Shi ever since. He is very knowledgeable and has helped me with my flare ups. I am also menopausal and he has helped with those symptoms as well. I highly recommend him!

I first met Dr. Shi in 2007, when he was treating my father for a variety of issues including COPD, Emphysema, as well as Kidney, Heart, and Lung function. It was clear to me then, that Dr. Shi was an expert in the art of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. At that time, I was dealing with Liver Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, as well as the serious symptoms and disability that go along with those diagnoses, i.e., I couldn’t feel my feet, was in constant pain. To make matters worse, my body was not absorbing nutrients, and I was losing weight and stamina quickly. I couldn’t take care of my kids. Unfortunately, the array of multi-disciplinary doctors had no treatment to offer me. Out of desperation, I decided to fully engage in Dr. Shi’s treatments. Doctors did not feel I was a candidate for surgery, as it was too risky and complicated. Again, I was faced with disability and no treatment plan. I have three pinched nerves at L3, L4, and L5. As I had hoped, Dr. Shi has been able to get me back on my feet and relieve the pain and spasms that left me literally crawling on the floor! My progress is nothing less than remarkable. I would be remiss not to mention that Dr. Shi also helped my youngest son with bed wetting and my mother’s cognitive decline.
