I have been seeing Dr. Man for years. She really cares about her patients and wants to make sure their eyes are in tip top shape. She is the one that found my retina tears where she send me to the retina specialist for a laser surgery the very next day. When I went to the retina specialist, he was impressed with her diagnosis because he said that it is rare that an opthalmologist can find that. I have no questions with Dr. Man's ability in the field of Opthalmology. My children also come and see her regularly for their check up. I have recommended her to friends and family. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💯

This doctor is all about tough love. I have seen her scold her staff and patients a couple of times when I visited her office. I know does this because she genuinely CARES so that is why I am very disappointed with the low star reviews here. I've went to other ophthalmologists and they don't care nearly as much a Kathy Man does. She is thorough and she explains things in people's terms so that you can understand. I feel like I'm in good hands going to her office than any other eye doctor. The only complaints I have is that the office tends to overbook. The wait times are decent, it can be long but once she sees you she makes sure that all the major concerns are addressed.

Front desk has really bad attitude. If you decide to confirm any information, they get annoyed and yells at you. Mind you, elders included.

This doctor has terrible manners and thinks everyone has glaucoma. She prescribed glaucoma eyedrops to both of my parents for years. My parents stopped seeing her due to her rude attitude and condescending comments. My dad switched to a doctor in Bay Ridge and my mom switched to a doctor at NYU. Both doctors said my parents do not have glaucoma and are confused why she prescribed glaucoma eyedrops. I was seen by her once for an eye emergency on a day where Dr. Nancy was out. She also suspected I had glaucoma and had me get additional tests. My tests were reviewed by Dr. Nancy, who doesn't think I have glaucoma. The receptionists at this office are beyond rude and think they run the world (ex: constantly yelling and getting annoyed at the elderly). My family and I pay for our own insurance and are not on Medicare/Medicaid, so there is no reason for us to pay high prices for such low-quality healthcare service.

I wish i was able to give this place 0 stars honestly. They have moved to 757 55th st and i was never even able to meet with the doctor. It shows they accept new patients but that is definitely not the case. I waited outside before they even opened and was turned away. I then came back 15 minutes later because my eyes were really THAT uncomfortable- irritated and red, blurry vision... no sympathy. The front desk girl asked the doctor a few questions and once i replied with i wear contacts, the doctor said no. The front desk girls don’t care, obviously it’s not their job to which is fine. They only take walk ins if it’s an existing patient with an emergency were the words I was greeted with. So pretty much... no new patients ever.
