Avoid sunday awful nurse Jiaming Li. There are actually different nurses across 3 offices for medication prescription, and for some reason I was getting a different one every couple of weeks and my call on Sunday with a nurse was really horrible. The 2 calls i missed were very off from the scheduled time, one was 1 hour before and the second was 45 mins later than original time. She also did not even want to listen to my condition and status and just want me to get 4 weeks med and hang up. She said there cannot be medication adjustment at this time and that she will send same.I called the flushing office to confirm who my nurse is and if i could switch one that is more helpful and i was able to have a flushing nurse call me after telling me the nurse at 8av brooklyn office is the only brooklyn nurse that day.
Very rushed and unprofessional service from staff. I came on Wednesday 2/25 with my uncle to the 837 58th street office because it was closer to where we live, and there was 3 receptionist there, 2 female and one short man with glasses. Even though there was only about 7 people waiting in the lobby, they were really rushed in helping us and told us to sit down and wait for our turn, even though we made an appointment. The male receptionist was really impatient in answering questions and would cut me off midway to pick up the phone, which was very rude. The doctor was helpful but overall visit felt rushed despite there not being a lot of people waiting in the lobby.
The female receptionist Anna acts very impatient towards patients, especially my older father who has difficulty with insurance information, and she does not care to help at all, telling him to look at the wall for information and not bother her. Very unprofessional for a doctor's office in particular for mental health and ignores phone calls in front of other patients.
I have been seeing this therapist for several years. Recently, I was informed by the pharmacist that my medication required prior authorization. When I contacted the office, I was told they no longer handle insurance authorizations and was advised to either pay out-of-pocket or switch medications. After switching, the new medication also required authorization, but the office refused to assist. The physician assistant redirected me to the front desk, who said it was the doctor and company’s policy not to handle such requests. A month later, the physician assistant contacted me to ask how I was doing, despite me no longer being on medication. Overall, I found the office unhelpful and unwilling to support patients with necessary medication processes.
I scheduled this appointment seeking help for anxiety related to my career and functioning. Within minutes, the doctor told me I “don’t belong” in my career and should switch fields - without conducting a proper evaluation, offering a diagnosis, or exploring my symptoms. The remainder of the visit felt dismissive and predetermined, as though she had already decided my concerns were invalid. There was no meaningful assessment, curiosity, or attempt to understand underlying issues. Being told to abandon your career is not mental health care. This provider’s approach lacked professionalism and clinical rigor. I strongly recommend reading the other reviews before booking.
