Dr. Yeh Ping Chou DO

I just want to say my experience going to Dr Chou has been positive. I’ve been going to her since January 2022 for my pregnancy. Unfortunately she was not available when I went to the hospital for the C-section, but I was told in advance. Sometimes the doctor may not be available in case which I already knew and I didn’t have an issue with that but each time I went during my pregnancy to check on the baby everything was swell and I love the customer service as well. I haven’t had an issue with the male receptionist who works there. I know some people in the reviews had an issue with him, but I can say for me from my personal experience. I haven’t had an issue at all and each time I would ask a question he would answer normally. To this day, I am still going to her practice for my yearly check ups and all has been positive.

I think she is an amazing doctor that takes time for her patients and that she doesn’t have a long wait and is actually very punctual for her appointments unlike a lot of other obgyn places where they are over booked. She is very kind and considerate and takes time to tell you everything that is going on your body. Definitely recommend this place. However there is no wifi and have to pay for parking but it’s worth it because she takes her time and consideration when taking care of your wellness.

We had a very disappointing experience here. We paid $150 for a self-pay gynecology visit for my mother. The doctor never informed us that she was taking a sample or ordering any lab testing. Later we unexpectedly received a bill from BioReference for a lab test we never agreed to. When I called the office, the front desk was extremely rude and refused to explain anything and even hung up the phone on me. Patients should be clearly informed before any sample is taken or test is ordered, especially for self-pay patients. This lack of communication and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable. We keep the right to file a formal complaint with the New York State Department of Health regarding unauthorized testing and billing practices by the provider.

Dr. Chou is an incredibly kind and wonderful oncologist who provides excellent care. She has been a great doctor for a long time. However, my last visit was completely ruined by the male staff member at the front desk. When I politely asked to speak with Dr. Chou about a radiology appointment, he was incredibly rude and dismissive. He said Dr. Chou was "busy working and busy like my husband" and that she had no choice but to be busy, completely invalidating my request even after saying I can wait to speak with her any day or time. When I asked to be transferred to another hospital, he agreed without any hesitation and then hung up on me. This terrible behavior from the front desk staff makes it impossible to continue seeking care there, despite how good the doctor is. No patient should be treated with such disrespect during a vulnerable time.

If I could give the place 0, I would. The front desk James, he’s very rude and asked me “why am I so mad,” I requested my medical records through North Shore obgyn in Feb/2025 and this place never faxed it over which I confirmed today with North shore, and lied to me saying the first time that they faxed it over after a month. And now he’s saying that I filled it out wrong for the second time I requested. I work at healthcare administration field, so I know I filled it out correctly. And it doesn’t make sense because when I called them asking to fax it over to my doctor at Northwell today, he stated he sees the medical release form that was sent three times now, and he stated I need to wait because of “processing time” as it needs to be done by medical records department and Northwell also called him to let him know it’s urgent as I have an appointment soon too, but again, no records. It’s ridiculous with the fact that he didn’t tell me over the phone that I need to pay 75 cents per paper before I went all the way to the office to pick it up which I couldn’t as he told me they don’t take card. The doctor is nice but front desk is never friendly and makes everything complicated to their own patients and you can’t even get access to your own medical records. Definitely not recommended.
