Though Dr. Liu has demonstrated that she cares about her patients, and she is very knowledgeable, her office experience does not reflect that at all. Office waiting times are not acceptable, and the explanation of why is evidence of disorganization and loss of control over her office: Other patients show up when they choose, so sometimes wait times are worse. If I have an appointment at a certain time and am on time for that appointment, to wait an hour and a half is unreasonable, and is evidence of severe over-scheduling. If someone shows up, unscheduled, or hours late to their appointment, they should not be prioritized unless it’s an emergency. Additionally, there is a major communication issue in plan of care (I was told to come back in six weeks, but it turns out I needed to make an appointment once a week for six weeks), and a communication issue when it comes to knowing who is treating you (I reviewed my lab results with a random Medical Assistant? Nurse? Phlebotomist? Secretary?) I’d like to be certain that the person giving me any sort of medical care or advice has the credentials to do so, so it is important to reconsider the lack of badges identifying the staff. Lastly, the privacy in this office is non-existent. I was in a room and a patient wandered into the room, looking around and no one asked him to leave until I spoke up. Then, a patient wandered into the back office to seek out the doctor while she was treating another patient! Very, very uncomfortable. Four stars for Dr. Liu, but her office experience gets two.
Came here for an annual checkup. Overall, horrible experience, didn’t even see a doctor. Be prepared to have to yell at them for them to talk to you. 1. FRONT DESK DOES NOT CARE. Encounter 1 - When I first came in, someone gave me a form to fill out since I was new. When I was finished, I brought it to the front desk and waited for 1 minute. No one looked up even though I was standing right in front of them. So I said excuse me — I had to say it FIVE times increasing my volume each time before they noticed that I was trying to hand them the form back. Encounter 2 - One of the front desk people called me up to the front, so I went and asked what they needed. I asked FOUR times with NO RESPONSE or acknowledgement that I was in front of them before they said they needed my insurance. Why would you call someone up and not say anything to them???? 2. WAITING TIME. Be prepared to wait a minimum of 40 minutes before being seen. And this is during their non-busy hour according to the scheduler. So be prepared to wait. 3. UNORGANIZED. The scheduler knew I was coming in for a check up and made no mention that I needed to fast for bloodwork. The scheduled obviously knows bloodwork is included in annual checkups, why would you not tell the patient they need to fast? It was an absolute waste of time — people are traveling from different areas and have to take time off for appointments. Even knowing they are wrong, there was no apology. 4. Didn’t even see a doctor. One of the nurses asked if I still want to go through with the check up today even if I can’t get my bloodwork done today. I asked her if I would be charged for both visits. I did not get an answer. She directed me to another nurse who brought me into another waiting area. I saw the nurse entering my information into the computer and I finally had to say stop ask again if I would be charged for both visits in which they said yes. It really baffles me of why she just couldn’t answer it the first time and tried to put me in a waiting room to see a doctor.
They steal your money for things like taking body temperature and heart beat—essentially a very basic annual body checkup—just because someone special needs to sign the checkup note. Unprofessional and condescending in everything they do. There are at least 10 staffs sitting there for some others. Hello? Did you help me something for so much? I got no medicine and really nothing but payment I made. Visit some place else.
They have demonstrated the they care about their patients. But it’s not true their care more about money. I went to see dr Eng and I paid a copay he prescribed a medication after a couple days I called them back to talk to dr Eng because I had a question about the medication and they didn’t pass him to me, they said that I have to pay the copay again.
This clinic is poorly managed and does not accept appointments—only walk-ins. Each visit to see a doctor takes at least 2–3 hours. During my most recent visit, the Mandarin-speaking female doctor I saw showed a lack of professional knowledge and had a dismissive attitude. In particular, one middle-aged female assistant doctor who wears glasses repeatedly tried to push additional tests and programs on patients, seemingly to generate more revenue, while completely ignoring patients’ genuine concerns. The experience was both frustrating and disappointing.
