Dr. Meltzer and his team provided outstanding care from start to finish. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and attentive, which made the experience much less stressful for us and our puppy. They took amazing care of her during her spay surgery and made sure we felt informed and comfortable throughout the process. We’re very grateful for their professionalism and compassion, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring veterinary team. 🐶💙

I recently moved from Ireland to New York with my 7 year old rescue Greyhound, Picasso. He doesn’t particularly love going to the vets and I needed to get him a vaccine. From the first email I sent to East Village Animal Clinic explaining how nervous and timid Picasso can be they put me at ease. Picasso has been to the clinic twice now for vaccinations and both times every single member of staff we’ve interacted with from the receptionists to the vet nurses to veterinarians have been so patient and friendly. Great clinic!

Switching to East Village Animal Clinic has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my dog’s care. Dr. Max Meltzer is incredibly informative, compassionate, and unlike any vet I’ve ever worked with before. He took the time to truly explain my dog’s critical IVDD situation in a way that eased my anxiety, and his calm, kind demeanor immediately made me feel safe and supported. The entire team has created such a welcoming environment for us, highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Meltzer to anyone seeking a vet who goes above and beyond.

We couldn't be happier or more relieved to have found Dr. Meltzer at his new practice in the East Village. We were previously his clients at his First Avenue clinic, where he provided the most incredible care for our senior terrier, Ellie. During a difficult time, Dr. Meltzer's approach to end-of-life care was nothing short of amazing. He managed to blend a scientific understanding of her needs with a compassionate balance with her quality of life. His team coordinated with her specialists, which took a huge weight off our shoulders and allowed us to focus on time with Ellie. His guidance and support were invaluable. We now have a new, little guy called Timo, and there was no question who we would trust with his care. We are so glad to be back with Dr. Meltzer and highly recommend his practice to any pet owner looking for a knowledgeable, thoughtful, and truly caring veterinarian.
