Essa’s Famous Halal Food

This is truly a one of a kind experience, not only is the food amazing but being made by probably the nicest guy you could meet giving a smile with every service. The go to order for my brother and I have always been the combo over rice, and the amount of care and detail Essa puts into the meal, from watching him season the food, to very generous portions, you won't regret going here! Most carts have a similar taste when you order, but if you want to be venturous and try something new and flavorful, come to Essas, it truly is the Best Gyro from Cairo!

Best gyro ever plus the guy was really nice. I forgot to grab a gyro from jackson height and upon coming back home i saw this cart and decided to grab a gyro... best decision ever... now i found a best spot to grab a gyro.

I used to go into the city for halal then by richmondhill/glendale. one night after work i decided to try essa's chicken over rice by qcm... 10$... that was 2021 best decision ive made and price has stayed exactly the same from when i first went there till now, not only is his chicken seasoned great but he blesses you with a perfect mix of veggies, fries and one falafel(if thats what ur lookin for but if u a plane jane then he'll bless ya wit that to. His green sauce is crazy good too. he's a genuine down to earth guy and always says wassup when u walk by.

Essa and his team always got me right. Affordable price, generous portions, and most importantly, amazing taste. Most carts only give you the side of salad, but here, you get salad, pita bread, fries and falafel. They're open late as well, and you already know those late night meals just hit different. I might be Asian, but this is like a childhood meal for me. Inshallah

The food here is great and Essa is a great guy to talk too when you order, but the recent price hike is a little bit too much for me. The chicken over rice went from 5 to 8 to now 9, at first I didn’t mind. There has to come a point were the price has to stop. The food itself is really good and all and the service is great, I can’t even complain about the chicken since Essa always gives more chicken then rice. But at this rate I don’t think I’ll be able to visit Essa’s that often. I still recommend you give it a try here and there, but overall the price point is the only bad thing about the cart.
