HUGE portion sizes for the price (lowkey could’ve just ordered one regular size). Ended up w too much food and took home lots of leftovers Went during Christmas time and got the seasonal deal: “Buy Combo for Two (2 Regular Portion Main Dishes +1 Snack + 2 Drinks) And Enjoy $10 OFF Your Bill,” but they forgot to take the $10 off so had to ask specifically. Next time, skip this and get the snakehead large portion set meal for two people - Signature aromatic hot oil suancai fish (snakehead fish regular portion): Reallllyyy yummy and tasted better than the laotan suancai. Not really spicy, but too oily - Laotan suancai fish (basa fish regular portion): Kinda mala. Mushroom and cabbage was a yummy free add on - Brown sugar glutinous rice cake: VERY yummy and SO chewy and warm. Must get side - Passionate fruit tea: Too sweet, not a fan. Tried the milk tea too - get this instead * Note: idk the diff b/w basa and snakehead fish, tasted the same to me. Both were tender

This is actually my third time visiting this place, but my first time coming with a group. Instead of ordering my usual hot boiled fish with pickled cabbage and chili, we tried a few different dishes this time. My favorites were the spicy boiled beef and the green Sichuan pepper suancai fish. Both incredibly flavorful and pair so well with rice! Well, most importantly, this restaurant is extremely budget-friendly. Highly recommended!

This place was delicious, my family and i are not familiar with the sour soup fish dish that’s really popular amongst locals so we wanted to open our minds and give this place a shot. Our waitress didn’t speak english too well, but she navigated everything perfectly by giving us picture reccs. We chose the large combo of the signature and got the fried pork bites— also comes with two fruits drinks. This is a hearty, filling, and affordable meal. Parking is difficult, but will definitely return.

Got the signature normal portion and the spicy boiled beef, total about $52. The sauerkraut fish was very tender and the broth was flavorful. The beef was good and tender but the broth was ok. We asked for both to be small spice. The fish I give a 9/10 and the beef 8/10. Place can be a bit packed. I like how there's napkins and utensils in the tables. Staff was nice and helpful.

This place is super popular with the locals. It's packed for lunch when we came on a Sunday. The combo meals are perfect for 2. One app and one main with a drink to share. Since we were a party of 4, we ordered 2 combos and an extra appetizer. The chicken skewers was surprisingly good. The sauerkraut fish was DELICIOUS and was spicy even at the lowest spice level. It was overall a great meal. I look forward to eating there again.
