My husband and I decided to take wedding dance classes for our first dance, and we’re so glad we did! We usually only dance to faster-paced music with simple turns, so we weren’t sure what to expect. From the very beginning, Artem made us feel comfortable. He connected with us right away and somehow even had my husband dancing better than me! He was also very flexible whenever we needed to reschedule, which made the whole experience stress-free. We highly recommend Artem and this studio to anyone preparing for their big day.

We came into Fred Astaire LIC to take wedding dance private lessons and we are so happy that we did. It really enhanced our wedding and was an amazing value for the amount of private lessons and instruction you get. Artem helped us narrow down our music selection for a song that fit our vibe perfectly and he choreographed a beautiful dance. We looked forward to every lesson and had such a fun time learning from him. When it came to our wedding our dance really surprised our guests and it came out perfectly! This studio is really special and the dedication that Artem and Sasha show their clients is unparalleled. I highly recommend anyone comes here! We were complete beginners but came away from our lessons with knowledge of rumba and hustle and we hope to take more lessons with Artem in the future. Thank you so much for all you do!!

We came to Fred Astaire looking for wedding dance lessons with very little time before our wedding. Artem and Sasha were so nice and were so fantastic in explaining all of our options for packages. We ended up working with Sasha and he did such a great job crafting a great wedding dance for us. We also used one of the lessons for help with a father/daughter dance, which was great! We are so grateful for everything! Best dance studio ever!

I’ve been a student at the Fred Astaire Long Island City dance studio since it opened this past spring, and it’s been a wonderful, enjoyable learning experience! Sasha and Artem are excellent instructors and genuinely nice, kind people. They’ve created a warm, inviting, fun atmosphere that puts everyone at ease. The other dance teachers are great as well. My dance lessons are the highlight of my week! I’m so glad they chose to open their studio in LIC.

I’ve always loved dancing and been thinking for years about getting back into ballroom classes but life kept getting in the way. When the studio opened up in LIC, just 3 blocks from my house, I had no more excuses. So last April, even before they officially opened, I signed up for a trial class. And honestly, it was the best decisions I’ve made all year! The studio has become my happy place – where I go after a stressful day of work to just get my mind off things, meet new people who also love dancing and have fun at he Friday night parties. The space is beautiful and always full of so much positive energy. All the dance instructors are amazing and, beyond that, just the nicest and most welcoming people you’ll meet. I love how passionate Artem is about teaching; he sets a high bar constantly helps me perfect my technique and has the best dance metaphors (smiley face). Shasha is incredibly patient, always willing to explaining and re-explaining things and never fails to makes me laugh. Misha and Sabrina’s group classes are a blast and the Friday dance parties are the best! Can’t wait for the fall when we’ll have them twice a month! In less than six months ’ve been working on six different dances and I’m excited to keep learning - maybe even compete one day! If I didn’t have a job, I’d probably spend every day at the studio taking classes with Artem, Sasha, Misha and Sabrina! They’re truly the best!
