Fresh Market in Chinatown has just about everything. The fruit and vegetable selection is huge and always fresh. They also have cooked food ready to go, a sushi counter, and even a bakery section with lots of options. Really convenient spot if you want a little bit of everything in one place.

We drove to Chinatown today for lunch and for shopping. First we went to Fresh market to buy our fruits and vegetables. They have a very large selection and everything seems so fresh. The place is so busy and hectic. Great prices.

Great Chinese market with an amazing choice of fresh food and chinese specialities. It is also interesting from a cultural point of view, thus making sure to pay a visit while in Mott St.

There is a self appointed guardian of broccoli working in this market. This unbelievably rude produce employee treats the broccoli section like a sacred exhibit. The broccoli is arranged just so, and heaven help you if you touch more than one. If you pick one up, look at it, and then decide to grab a different one (like literally every normal grocery shopper on earth), he will rush over to scold you and shoo you away as if you have committed a serious offense. Apparently you are expected to buy the very first piece of produce your hand makes contact with. Browsing is forbidden. Choice is discouraged. I was shopping with my senior mother and he was yelling and physically pushing us aside to protect his broccoli from further inspection. That level of behavior is wild anywhere, and especially unacceptable toward an older customer. I would rather grow my own broccoli than ever deal with this guy again. If the owner is wondering why produce sales are declining, I recommend checking the cameras. The broccoli may be flawless, but the attitude is rotten.

Extremely disappointing experience. I went shopping here today and was helped by a female cashier wearing black-frame glasses. I bought a lot of groceries — eggs, milk, several drinks, sausages, bread, and frozen dumplings — basically things that can’t be carried without a bag. When I asked for a bag at the end, she had already finished the transaction and said she couldn’t add one anymore. She told me the bags were $2 each and asked if I had cash. I only had a few coins, no bills. Instead of noticing that I obviously couldn’t carry everything, she coldly told me to use the store’s small produce bags to take my groceries home. I was alone and only had two hands — that was impossible. Then she even blamed me, saying I should’ve asked for a bag earlier. She completely ignored my situation the whole time and showed zero willingness to help. Fortunately, another staff member eventually helped me and found two bags (one of which had no handles, making it really hard to carry). One star for this cashier — she took my money but didn’t take responsibility for her job and even blamed the customer for her own mistake.
