Galliard Music

After a 12-year break from piano, I was pretty nervous to start again. But finding Galliard, and especially working with Yurina, has been such a gift. She’s so patient, kind, and encouraging, and always knows exactly what to say or suggest to help things click. I’ve seen a lot of progress in just six months and lessons with her have quickly become one of the highlights of my week!

My daughter has been taking piano lessons with Brian for over two years, and I couldn’t be happier. Brian is incredibly skilled, kind, and deeply committed to his students, treating each one as an individual. His teaching goes beyond music—his students gain confidence, curiosity, better listening skills, and a true love of music. Brian’s engaging personality makes every lesson enjoyable and impactful. I highly recommend Brian as a piano instructor. He is a rare talent and a remarkable teacher.

My daughter has been having a great experience learning the piano with Lucy! She is a really good teacher, and makes the classes engaging and fun. She is very patient and encouraging which really makes a difference for a young child who is just beginning learning an instrument.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Galliard Music School. Our 9-year-old son had no prior music background but showed interest in learning piano, and the team made the process incredibly smooth from the start. Brian, the Program Director, was extremely helpful in walking us through the different options and thoughtfully matching us with the right teacher based on our son’s needs and personality. He also guided us through the process of purchasing the right beginner keyboard, which was incredibly helpful since we weren’t familiar with what to look for. We’ve been working with Georgie for the past 7 months, and she has been an absolute delight. She is punctual, energetic, and, most importantly, has a natural ability to engage with a child while still maintaining structure and discipline in her lessons. Our son genuinely enjoys his piano sessions and, best of all, has developed a real interest in practicing on his own. We’re so grateful for the support and care Galliard Music School provides and highly recommend them to any family looking for quality music instruction.

My twin boys (aged almost 11) have been taking guitar lessons with John from Galliard music for nearly 2 years. John has been flexible in allowing them to take lessons every other week given other commitments, and they have made amazing progress over this time. John is prompt, responsive, provides thorough guidelines for 'homework', and encourages my boys to play music that they enjoy. They have so much fun playing guitar, and John has given them the confidence to perform in front of others, to perform duets, and even to sing. I can't wait to see how they continue to progress!
