I have a complicated ice machine. That complicated ice machine decided to break down and eluded many technicians across many companies. I was so impressed with fusion HVAC’s persistent desire to solve the problem. Even though it took a few visits, they were very fair about pricing. The communication was excellent, and the technicians were extremely professional. They ran diagnostics, used proper service manuals, and managed a clean workspace. It was easy to set up service and follow ups were also easy to schedule. They were available quickly, they were responsive, and they ultimately fixed my machine for a very fair price. I am so happy I found the appliance service team for all of my appliances so that I don’t have to use anyone else.
Charged 90$ for initial diagnosis which was just him pointing a laser at the PTAC unit and saying it was out of refrigerant. I told the technician that the unit was not heating or cooling and the motor would continue to make a sound even when I shut it off. He said it’s just a refrigerant problem, so I scheduled an appointment with confirmation from 9am-11am to get refrigerant added. On the morning of appointment, the technician did not show up. I called and at first the operator said my appointment wasn’t scheduled, and I told them I had a text message confirmation. They then put me on hold and came back and said that there was traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge (there was not, I checked, and you can take the Manhattan bridge if there’s an issue) and caused a delay and they would be by me by 1:30pm. The technician came at 1:30 did some stuff and said he added refrigerant and said it was fixed. I turned the machine off to see if it still made noise and it did. I told him that the problem wasn’t fixed and the technician then said I never told him that was an issue when I most certainly did. Why would I not mention a problem with my ptac unit especially when the diagnosis was $90? He the denied that I ever said anything to him and then promptly left in a rude manner. He didn’t end up charging me anything but it was a really weird interaction.
Charged $90 for house visit, which is standard and would be deducted from full repair cost BUT when I called the prices they quoted me ranged rom $225-350 and the person on the phone made it sound like a simple clean - which is what i have for units that were cleaned last year and are only 3 years old - which would be in the lower $200 range. After clearing schedule to have estimate received a quote for $350 per unit for 3 units which was $450 more than expected and over budget. This meant I lost the $90 for absolutely nothing.

After calling them back after several days of radio silence after the diagnostic, the person on the call couldn’t even find our booking (under the person who made the booking). I had to have a broken ac for a week and then called my former hvac company (who was fully booked earlier). Their diagnostic included three times fewer problems with the hvac. After they came, it was fixed immediately at 40% less cost. Gold fusion gave me a long list of shot in the dark guesses and useless advice like just clean your filter more for more air flow.
Charged $110 for diagnostic which took minutes. Then the guy sent a ridiculous estimate even though he assured me he has competitive rates. He never cleaned up after the service and left the ladder on the roof. He was only quick to ask for money.
