My mom and I have been coming here for many years, as they usually answer all my questions and if issues arise later in the year, someone there will help me, eventually. Sometimes, depending on their mood, it's met with aggression, like others mentioned. Fees are usually $100-$200, but I've heard other firms can be much more. They have a lot of staff, most of whom are very helpful. I agree with others who say some of the front desk service has severely declined since the pandemic. But I think that is only a few of their many staffers. The office can be uncomfortably hot and cluttered, as others noted. But sometimes they blast the AC. This is only once a year. Often, the wait is long, but now you can make appts. _______ The WORST issue, however, was this year. My mom's longtime accountant didn't tell my mom about a massive NYC senior real estate tax discount (SCHE program) that she was qualified for over many, many years. So my mom lost $50K in real estate tax that she was qualified to keep over the years. He very much should have known about it. He is her accountant in NYC, who sees many older clients. I only got involved in her real estate taxes this year and discovered it. When I asked him about it, he said, "The city needs the money." Maybe he thought she wasn't poverty so she can afford to forgo a senior tax discount -- which she was entitled to after paying RE tax for 50 years, with no kids in the school system for decades. That almost felt like a law suit to me. $50K is a lot of money. So for that reason, I had to write this review. If you can be on top of all your exemptions on your own, etc. maybe this firm is OK.

My family have been a customer of Mr. Chien for decades. But since 2019 when Covid started, their service and customer service severely declined. Their website is very unclear, the sign in process is very messy and their office environment is horrifying and suffocating, definitely a health hazard. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. I will not recommend this office. You can get better and more professional help with your taxes elsewhere.

As a long time client, they have really declined in service. It would be nice to call and have somebody pick up the phone. Emails go unreplied for weeks. I do my business taxes here and can not get a fast reply back. It recently took me 4 weeks to ask them a question, only to find out they never worked on it. That leaves me very vulnerable and could mean losing money. Talking to their assistants will get you nowhere. They explain they are too busy. Maybe they need to hire more staff. Terrible, poor customer service. The CPA however is a very nice guy and knowledgeable. They always act like they are too busy. Perhaps they don't need my business!

I'd give 0 star if I could. They made a mistake on our taxes, we returned asking them to fix it, they were rude, blaming us. Then they charged us another $50 after they fixed the taxes, in total, we paid $500😡. Scam, choose other place than this one. They just want $$$ instead of providing services.
