Goldfish Swim School - Flushing

Their customer service is top notch! Any questions I have, they'll answer in person and/or via phone. They've been so helpful. My daughter has been with Goldfish Flushing since Mini 1 then Mini 2 and recently just moved her to Mini 3 as she was showing signs she was ready. She was already pushing me off the pool so she can do it herself. Mr. Jeff, her instructor has been providing great feedback and she's been getting comfortable on her own. Thank you Mr. Jeff for your patience and positive outlook on teaching toddlers. We know its not easy and everyone has been so helpful with her when she's sometimes not having it. That 30 mins in the pool can make such huge difference and Mr. Jeff makes sure my daughter makes the most of out of it. Mr. Luis and Mr. Angel has also been so helpful in making sure she's comfortable - giving high fives and stealing Mr. Bubbles from Mini class. Also, I wanted to add - thank you for providing family swim, we did go once but the timing has been so late. Hopefully, they can add an earlier session, like before all the classes starts.

We recently celebrated my son’s birthday party at Goldfish Swim School, and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience. From start to finish, the staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. They made sure every detail was taken care of and went above and beyond to ensure the kids were safe, happy, and having fun. The instructors and party hosts were amazing with the children and kept everything organized while still making it feel fun and stress free. It was such a smooth and enjoyable experience, and my son had the best time. I highly recommend Goldfish Swim School for birthday parties and swim lessons! thank you for making his day so special! 🐠🎉

We are beyond grateful for this swim school and the incredible teachers who make it so special. Angel, 🪽Alexa, and David are truly outstanding—not just as instructors, but as people who genuinely care about every child they teach. Their patience, kindness, and encouragement have made such a difference in our children confidence and progress in the water. They know how to balance safety, skill-building, and fun so beautifully, and it shows in how excited our child is for every lesson. What really sets this school apart is the heart behind the teaching. Angel , Alexa, and David take the time to connect with each child, celebrate their milestones (big and small), and create a positive, nurturing environment where kids feel supported and proud of themselves. We couldn’t ask for a better team or a better place for our children to learn such an important life skill. I have been a fan of this facility for nearly two years. However, ever since new management has taken over everything has taken a huge turn for the worst. From my understanding, the new general manager of this location was put In place to better the company yet the staff seems more irritable than ever. The lesson quality has dropped tremendously, supervisors are no longer attentive and seem to just group together in a corner and chat. I have been asking supervisors to evaluate my child for weeks yet not once have they. These supervisors are truly running this place considering their general manager walks around doing nothing helpful towards them explaining why they aren't taking the job as seriously as they should. New swim Instructors left and right yet it does not seem like they are even trying to train them. My kid will not be returning. Under previous management, I could tell how hands on everyone was. Managers in the water all the time, swim instructors having respectful bonds with their team. Not once have I seen any of this since the new staff change. I don't think I've ever even seen the current manager hand out a single tissue on the pool side. No wonder these lesson qualities are dropping, can management even do a "rollover" ?

My kid had her 5th instructor in 6 months - and each instructor had their own comments about her ability swimming that were so conflicting that the kid doesn't know how to swim anymore. Why can't you have the teachers at least be aware of what the kids in their class are working on/capable of? We have since moved on from this location - but if you are a new parent, just be aware that instructor turnover here is very high and if you have kids like mine who need consistency in coaching, this is not a place for you.
