MICHAEL IS AN ABSOLUTE ROCKSTAR! He's fixed my mom's phone countless times for a great price and lightning fast. Most recently he helped me get an iMac tuned up - a 12 year old computer is running like it's fresh off the shelf. I couldn't be happier and can't wait for the next project to work with Michael on.

After two months of waiting on my original go to repair shop to fix my touch screen desktop computer a friend recommended GURU. I went there and in 4 business days my screen was replaced and ready to be picked up. I am so grateful for a quick turn around and I can finally get into all my files to do my taxes. The repair was priced fair and the customer service was top tier.

I want to preface this review by saying I was not going to leave one at all, but upon seeing the ridiculous responses to some of the other below average reviews I wanted to say that none of these are aggressive or unreasonable reviews, and reviews are here to give customers a glance before the spend their money, and should be considered as a positive thing to help improve your business. Which brings in more customers in the long run. I understand there are many happy customers but that does not cancel out people with below average experiences as well. Most people are not here trying to bring down small businesses for the fun of it, so I really wouldn’t appreciate a response like that. That said, my family and I have been bringing phones here for years. I drop my phone a LOT, probably multiple times a day. So I am very familiar with the durability of original Apple screens. I’ve noticed over the years that after repairs my phone would break a lot easier. I had an iPhone 8 repair here a few years ago and a couple days after the repair it got extremely hot it almost burned me and the battery swelled which completely killed the entire phone more or less. My mom was told the next repair would be free. So now last week I bring in a phone with water damage and a dead screen and I tell them about this and at that time we didn’t have the original card information, so we made a compromise that I would only pay for parts(the screen). And if I had the card maybe the story would be different. This is great customer service and I appreciate it very much. I was given the phone and charged $70 for a new screen and I was told it was like brand new. The next day I dropped it from a few inches up and immediately it cracked (not too bad but crack across the entire screen) . I assumed it was bad luck but seeing the pattern I was a bit suspicious. A few days later I dropped it on a very very soft surface and the screen completely died again. My brother opened up the phone and we found that the phone was not sealed, so not exactly like brand new. We brought it back and I was told that the SE 3rd gen does not come with that kind of seal. Upon a google search, I found it does indeed come with that kind of seal. I would expect someone who does this for a living would know that. I did find the original card from the iPhone 8 repair but was told now that that wouldn’t change anything. They offered to repair the SE again for free and put a seal on it and even gave me a free screen protector. I cannot complain about the customer service. I simply don’t believe that screen was worth anything near $70 seeing as I was just paying for parts and there was no indication inside that it was an OEM screen. The screen also does not look as crisp or fast as the original one. I know they use 3rd party batteries, at least for some repairs, but I’m not sure if that has any relation to the screens used so I won’t say anything about that. Compared to other places, the prices are good but I do feel a bit misled. I only took it to a professional because I wanted better quality parts than you can get at home, but I really don’t feel that. It is not inherently bad to get third party screens for cheaper but the key is that they are supposed to be cheaper. I wish I was at least given options for what they can use, if that is the case here. Overall, it is a good place to go to for a quick repair and good service. In terms of quality I cannot say, it only seems to me that the phones are never quite as durable or nice as they were before repair. I would have liked a refund instead of a free repair, seeing as the repair was supposed to be free in the first place, but I was not given that option and only told to be more careful with the phone. I am only leaving this REVIEW to tell my honest experience, and I do not think it is necessary to be so defensive and nonsensical to the bad reviews, it only looks bad on the business.

Took my phone for a battery replacement, the place has good customer service, but then the screen went out which then I had to replace that also and was told my phone was like brand new, the front camera was all full of dust. About 3 days ago it raind and I was out working and first time phone got wet since the repair. Not drench in water but a little wet seeing that I was working some deliveries and it immediately starts to act up until it completely shut off an now won't turn back on. Galaxy 23ultra I need to understand how the phone was not properly sealed......

I came in with a cracked screen and the guy replaced it. A few days later the phone froze, which it didn’t do in the 2 years that I had it. I called the owner, and he told me how to unfreeze it, and he said that sometimes a non Apple screen isn’t compatible with the software and to bring it in and he would replace it, if it happens again. It didn’t happen Until about two weeks later. It froze again and I went into his store and he showed me that the screen had a hairline crack. He told me he couldn’t send in my screen to the manufacturer because it was cracked and I would need a new screen. He said he would give me his screen at cost for $80. I said I’m not spending a total of $200 on the phone, that’s not even new .Now the phone keeps freezing over and over. I recommend you get a screen from your phone company so that you don’t have this problem.
