Loved my experience with Jason. I have naturally wavy hair and most Asian salons do not like working with it. Jason was kind, attentive, and gave me such a beautiful cut with long layers and face framing pieces! The styling was so pretty. Paid $60 cash- no upcharge for long thick hair!

Highly recommend! $60 if you pay cash and Jason was so nice. We ended up chatting about life, and he captured exactly what I wanted. He completely transformed my flat hair with layers and took his time to make sure everything came out well. He also respected that keeping my length was really important to me since I’m trying to grow it out. At the end, he even used one of those handheld hair microscopes to show me my strands and explained how to take better care of my hair health. I left feeling refreshed both hair-wise and from the wholesome interaction overall. I’m usually skeptical of haircuts because I often leave with hair that’s way too short, but this was such a good experience. My hair feels super light and soft now!

Had a great experience getting my hair cut by the director, Jason (@jasonwang382). I appreciate how he gave pointers on why the photo that I brought in would not suit my hair (too straight) and recommended a modified version of the style to add volume. Even my mom liked it and told me she wanted to get her hair cut and permed here next time. Currently, they have a promo on their site where if 2 people come together, you get 50% off one cut. Also, they have a cute little dog running around the store, so be careful!! The white fur blends in with the white floor, so don't step on him!!

Jason did an excellent job adding shape to my long hair. I initially wanted a simple layered cut but he suggested something more modern that I ended up loving. He is very friendly and personable, and I appreciate how he thoroughly explained how I should care for and style my new cut moving forward. I’m obsessed with the results.

Edit: I do use hair essence/oil. It’s worse when I do because the curls are so define then. It is still acceptable and actually looks closer to what I expected) once I wear a hat and it calms it down a bit (last pic) The cut initially was pretty nice, I told them I wanted something that I can shake my head in any directions and it’s still be ok. Something that I don’t need much care for. They sold me on getting a digital perm. I told them that my hair is a bit too short for it and I don’t want to wait 6 months for it to look good. They say it’s because I didn’t do it with them and reassured me that won’t be the case, they are very good at this and showed me a picture of a pretty nice style that only has a bit of a wave at the end. I didn’t mind that and decided to go with the perm. WHAT A MISTAKE!. I tried not to leave a review and wanted to wait a bit to see if I could style it or blow dry it a certain way to make it look decent - Even the way they asked me to style it. But besides clipping my hair back, I can’t find it any other way. My friend says I look like a lion. I mean I tried my best to convince myself that if I style it right, it will work but at the end of the day that’s not what I was promised and it’s not what I expected it. I wake up every morning looking like a crazy woman. It will take more than 6 months for this to grow out. I paid 260 plus a hefty tip for this. Besides this,I witnessed a man who came in for a cut by someone else and left looking like a dog bite him. The cut was so uneven and jagged. Luckily that stylist didn’t cut my hair but I should have taken that as a warning and left. If you’re in for a cut by Even, I think I would recommend it especially for the price. But I wouldn’t get a digital perm especially if your hair isn’t super long. My hair was down to my armpit and I still ended up like this.
