This cash only trading store is an understated hole-in-the-wall herbal shop. They speak 3 dialects of Chinese. The doctor does not speak English, but the shop owner can, and was kind enough to be my translator. I've been to several herbal doctors, pricing and purchasing their medicine for my menstrual cramps. This doctor is in Fri, Sat and Sunday from 11am-5pm. His consultation fee: $15. As customary with any legit hole in the wall shop in Chinatown, none of this is written in English and thus maybe subject to change. I was looking for whole herbs to make a decoction. Unlike instant powdered teas, this place gave me a paper sack of whole herbs to boil in my own soup cauldron. My first prescription for a nasal infection included a handful of cicada, shiso leaves and 12 other flowers, bark, seeds and stems. I was healed in 4 days of boiling a daily decoction, which was not bitter at all, but sweet from the black dates. The shop owner also adds that he can boil the herbs for me if I don't have time. What I was prescribed takes only 45 minutes to boil and simmer. On the Friday that I walked in, the doctor saw patients streaming in before and after me. His undecorated closet of an office is where he keeps a simple ledger of patient notes on his desk. He doesn't display any certification but he has very patient bedside manners. He asked lots of questions about my condition and jots down everything I conveyed. The store is streaming with popos and kung kungs buying 15 year old dried mandarin orange peels for $60 a bag or birds nest for $100 a unit. The cost is pricey compared to western medicine and those pills in jars, but I'm really glad to have found this place. A great place to practice all the Cantonese my mother taught me.

My go to place for all of my wellness needs! Amazing prices on everything. Big fan of their chrysanthemums, dried jujube dates, etc. Will keep coming back!!

Hardly happy trading but I should've checked the reviews before coming! I came here for herbs and he charged me more than the other shop literally around the corner (Kamwo), and gave less ingredients too (also concerned from the reviews they may be fake). He also kept pushing me to see his doctor. Holding out his hands to signal to pay up quickly. Didn't like his attitude at all. Avoid and go to the shop round the corner which is cheaper and newer.

I checked and examined the herbs, bad quality and mixed with fakes. Not only they sell fakes. At first we were introduced to take a session with the doctor. Since we already have a script of medicines we would like to buy so we didn't want to use the one given the doctor here. When I tried to pay for the session, the owner didn't let me pay and force me to give him the script. I said I don't want to buy medicine here but he insisted. He even took my money and would not return my change. Only giving me the change after I gave him the script. Not to mention that I didn’t need their script but they tried to force customer buy medicine here. The brainless sell technique is ridiculous. To make things worse, an elder not working there helped the owner cursing at me. Worst experience ever in Chinatown. Shame on you.
