Hearst Tower in NYC is one of my favorite examples of eco-friendly architecture. The building stands out not just for its striking, modern design but also for its impressive commitment to sustainability. It was the first occupied “green” commercial building in NYC to get LEED Gold, and later it achieved the highest LEED Platinum rating, thanks to features like using 90% recycled steel, an innovative rainwater collection system, and energy-saving lighting and HVAC systems. I also love how the historic base blends with the futuristic glass tower above... it feels both classic and cutting-edge. Knowing that the tower has reduced energy use by 40% and water use by 30% makes it even more impressive.

i heard that the new CEO Harry Osborn was experimenting on that lightning dude who caused all that racket in time square the other day
at least he isn't going to leave us and become a goblin like Norman. he would never drop someone to their death in a clock tower, pfftt

Beautiful geometric tower on top of an older base, designed by Sir Norman Foster (born 1935). Nice pairing of old and new.

Such a beautiful building. I do t think there are tours on the inside. It’s very close to Columbus Circle. It’s worth the walk by.
